Just over a month before the Olympic flame is lit, Livigno makes history by hosting for the very first time a stage of the Alpine Skiing World Cup: the Men’s Super-G, scheduled for December 27, 2025 at 11:30 CET. This unique and spectacular event will bring the world’s top athletes to the heart of the Alps, ready to challenge themselves on a brand-new course—technical and fast—combining flowing sections with demanding walls that feature slopes of up to 52%. Starting at 2,375 meters, not far from Rifugio Costaccia, the race will lead competitors down the Tagliede – Li Zeta slope to the town center finish line at 1,850 meters, offering the audience a direct view of the thrilling finale. With a length of 1,800 meters and a vertical drop of 517 meters, the course promises strong emotions and great spectacle, rewarding only the most complete skiers. It will be a contest of the highest technical level, a crucial test ahead of the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympics, and at the same time a celebration for the fans, who will experience first-hand the intensity of a sporting event destined to be remembered.
