But he has done so by playing the victim card and even breaking down in tears on The Pivot podcast.Photo by Chris Unger/Getty ImagesBreiden Fehoko backs LeSean McCoy calling out Ryan Clarks emotional actOne would assume that Clark crying during the podcast would help him gain sympathy before the next chapter of his broadcasting career. However, the move terribly backfired on Clark as former NFL running back LeSean McCoy smashed his fake act. SPORTS.YAHOO.COMCeltic will return for Haissem Hassan after Kasper Hogh deal announced todayCeltic will return for Haissem Hassan after Kasper Hogh deal announced todayJournalist Christian Vaquero reports that Celtic will go after the signing of Haissem Hassan once again, only after they have dealt with the Kasper Hgh signingThe Celtic supporters are growing increasingly frustrated and irritated at the lack of movement into the club currently, as there are glaring holes all over the place in Martin ONeills squad. Having already lost several stars once the season finished in May, we are even lighter now than we were when we defeated Hearts to win the league at Celtic Park.Julian Aruajo, Tomas Cvancara, Junior Adamu, Kelechi Iheanacho, and Marcelo Saracchi have all left the building at one point or another, whilst Daizen Maeda has completed a 10 million move to newly-promoted English Premier League club Ipswich Town, as the Japanese international closes the door on nearly five-years of loyal service at Paradise.Daizen Maeda of Celtic looks on following the teams victory in the Scottish Premiership match between Celtic and Heart of Midlothian at Celtic Park on May 16, 2026. (Photo by Ian MacNicol/Getty Images)Depth has become a real issue now, not to mention the severe and alarming lack of quality on the wings at present too. As mentioned over and over again, Sebastian Tounekti and Michel-Ange Balikwisha are not the answer and it is very doubtful if they ever will be, to say the very least. Having wasted the guts of 10 million on those two deals, Celtic have nothing really to show for it.James Forrest of Celtic scores to make it Celtic 2-0 AC Milan during the Celtic v AC Milan in a pre-season friendly at Celtic Park on July 25, 2026. (Photo by WM Sport Media/Getty Images)Adding insult to injury, more money will have to be spent as the starting line-up is still missing Jota and James Forrest is just too old to be playing those kind of minutes now that Martin ONeill will require, even if he does still produce the odd moment of magic nowadays.Mika Baur SC Paderborn,14, Football Bundesliga season 2025 2026 VfL Wolfsburg vs SC Paderborn at the Volkswagen Arena in Wolfsburg Germany 21 May 2026. Photo IMAGO / Christian Schroedter24-year-old Egyptian star Haissem Hassan was said to be in talks with the club and had even agreed terms on a four-year deal. However, Celtic and Real Oviedo still cannot find a breakthrough in negotiations just now, meaning the player isnt going anywhere for the time being, in what is turning into a miniature saga along with the Mika Baur deal from SC Paderborn too.Kasper Hogh of Bodo/Glimt celebrates scoring his teams third goal during the UEFA Champions League 2025/26 Round of 16 First Leg match between FK Bodo/Glimt and Sporting Clube de Portugal at Aspmyra Stadion on March 11, 2026 in Bodo, Norway. (Photo by Martin Ole Wold/Getty Images)Journalist Christian Vaquero has claimed though that the Bhoys are waiting until the Kasper Hgh deal is done and dusted, before going back in with an improved offer for Oviedos star winger. Discussing the ongoing situation for the World Cup performer on his social media page on X, he said:Celtic WILL RETURN for Haissem Hassan after the signing of Kasper Hogh. The first offer of 4M was rejected by Real Oviedo, but after the sale of Maeda its expected that theyll come back with an offer close to 5.5M.Hopefully this is accurate and the club will go back in for Haissem Hassan and get the deal sorted once and for all.Matteo Cancellieri of Lazio during the training session day 3 at the Formello Sport Centre on July 14, 2026 in Rome, Italy. (Photo by Marco Rosi Lazio/Getty Images)The only thing casting doubt on this reporting though, is the issue of Celtic now stepping up their pursuit of Lazio winger Matteo Cancellieri, as previously reported on Celtic Shorts, with it highly unlikely the club would be looking at signing both men during this summers recruitment drive.Paul GillespieHAVE YOUR SAY Join the Celtic conversation in our comments section belowCeltic Shorts is the new home for the team from The Celtic StarSummer Sale now on! SPORTS.YAHOO.COM'You can't take 1-2 games': Ex-cricketer's blunt warning to Rohit Sharma and Virat KohliThe debate surrounding Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma's ODI future refuses to die down despite both continuing to deliver for India. While neither head coach Gautam Gambhir nor chairman of selectors Ajit Agarkar has publicly committed to their participation in the 2027 World Cup, keeping the speculation around their future alive.India's recent 1-2 ODI series defeat against England only added fuel to the conversation. Rohit silenced critics with a match-winning century in the series finale, registering his 34th ODI hundred amid speculation that the Lord's fixture could be his final international appearance. Kohli, meanwhile, chipped in with two half-centuries during the series after both senior batters struggled in the opening match.Former India wicketkeeper-batter Deep Dasgupta believes there is no need to question Rohit and Kohli's places in the side, but stressed that both must make an immediate impact whenever a series begins instead of taking time to settle. That has to be a conversation with everyone, not just them (Kohli and Rohit), that they have to start the series well and hit the ground running. That is a challenge. You cant take one or two games to get into the groove. But thats where the support staff comes in and has conversations with the players by creating an environment to get the best out of everyone," Deep Dasgupta said on his YouTube channel.Dasgupta insisted that the standards applied to the two stalwarts should remain unchanged despite the increasing scrutiny around their careers. There is no conversation needed with them about their places in the team. Four years back, it wasnt like they had to be reminded before every series that they would be in the team. They knew they would be in the team based on their performances. So how does that change now? It does not and should not change, he added. Why Rohit and Kohli's future remains under the spotlightQuestions over the future of Rohit and Kohli have surfaced repeatedly since both retired from Test cricket last year, leaving ODIs as their only international format. Before the Lord's ODI against England, reports suggested that the selection committee was considering moving on from Rohit ahead of the 2027 World Cup to create an opening for Yashasvi Jaiswal. However, the BCCI leadership dismissed reports that the Lord's encounter would be Rohit's final international appearance.Dasgupta believes the constant speculation is largely because the pair now feature in only one international format, making every ODI performance subject to greater scrutiny. 132677492This discussion about their future is getting exaggerated because they play only one format. When you play multiple formats, if you fail in one but score in the other, the failure is forgotten. So thats a challenge for these two that cant be denied. People will remember what they last did in this format because they play only one format. But the conversation with them should be the same as it was three years ago, he added.0 Comments 0 Shares 29 Views 0 Reviews

SPORTS.YAHOO.COM5-time Pro Bowler could become Commanders new TE coachThe Washington Commanders begin training camp on Wednesday, but on Monday, one day before veterans report, they delivered some surprising news. Washington was parting ways with first-year tight ends coach Ben Steele. It was shocking news at first, but his recent arrest violated team rules, leading the Commanders to fire Steele. The first thought here is the timing. It's less than ideal. Washington is looking for a new position coach just as training camp begins. However, there's no need to worry, as it appears the Commanders already have their replacement on staff. Steele was arrested on June 7. Washington held its mandatory minicamp from June 16-18. The Commanders placed Steele on leave, and longtime NFL star and five-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Wes Welker worked with Washington's tight ends. Welker joined Washington in 2025 as a personnel analyst. This offseason, he was moved to an offensive assistant position, allowing him to help out at multiple spots. It now appears that Welker will be Washington's new tight ends coach. Head coach Dan Quinn meets with the media on Tuesday, where it's expected he will have some sort of announcement. Of course, Welker working with Washington's tight ends during the minicamp doesn't mean he'll be the pick, but it makes the most sense. He served as a wide receivers coach for the 49ers and Dolphins before coming to Washington, so he has full-time coaching experience. The Commanders could also move offensive pass game coordinator David Raih back into the role, but that seems less likely. Raih received a promotion from new offensive coordinator David Blough this offseason and has coached Washington's tight ends the last two years. Raih can remain in his role and just assist Welker if/when he needs it. So, while moving on from a position coach on the eve of training camp isn't ideal, the Commanders appear to be positioned well to replace Steele. SPORTS.YAHOO.COMAngelino fails to convince Gasperini, could leave RomaAngelino fails to convince Gasperini, could leave RomaRoma will have to overhaul their flanks. Celik has gone to Juventus, while Tsimikas has returned to Liverpool after his loan deal ended. The only two players set to remain in the capital are Wesley and Rensch, as Angelino and Salah-Eddine are set to leave. The Spanish full-back, coming off a season in which he barely played due to physical problems, is still visibly out of form. The first two weeks of preparation have shown no encouraging signs, and the Giallorossi are intent on selling him to a league where he has admirers.Angelino is unlikely to remain in the capital. As Il Tempo reports, the first two weeks of preparation have confirmed that the player is out of form, which is why Gasperini and the coaching staff have not changed their initial plan to sell him. The former Leipzig player could move to La Liga, given that Real Betis had expressed interest a few weeks ago, but, at this time, all options are open. Roma are now looking for a starter and an alternative to strengthen the flanks and have set their sights on Fresneda from Sporting Lisbon.0 Comments 0 Shares 33 Views 0 Reviews
