Chicago Bears training camp is in full swing ahead of the 2026 regular season. Under second-year head coach Ben Johnson, the Bears are looking to build on their success from last year and keep pace in a crowded NFC with important meetings and practices at Halas Hall.After an off day, the Bears returned to the practice field on Monday and put on the pads for the first time. Unfortunately, the story of the day was the injury to safety Coby Bryant, who is expected to miss the next eight to ten weeks with a knee injury. It was a physical practice that still had some bright spots despite the bad news.Following every Bears training camp practice, we at Bears Wire will highlight the top players who stood out on the field. Here are the players who stood out on Day 5 of practice:1. OT Jedrick WillsThe left tackle competition took a step in intensity Monday with the pads coming on, and while Braxton Jones impressed with the first-string offense, Jedrick Wills appeared to have a strong day as well while working with the second team. According to CHSN's Clay Harbor, Wills showed impressive technique with good hands while working during one-on-one drills. Harbor noted on rep in particular when Wills pushed defensive end Jamree Kromah. Head coach Ben Johnson praised Wills for having a good start to camp prior to the practice as well, another indication this competition is far from over.2. WR Jahdae WalkerThe receivers seemed to be showing out following a rough practice on Saturday, particularly Jahdae Walker, who stood out in both one-on-one and individual drills. According to CHGO's Greg Braggs, Walker came away with a nice grab across the middle with good coverage on him. Walker also easily beat cornerback Jaylon Jones during one-on-ones with a deep catch over his outside shoulder. This comes one practice after he scored a touchdown in wet conditions from quarterback Tyson Bagent. Last year, he was one of baseball's most effective pitchers, recording a 2.55 ERA before his injury.Because he's scheduled to become a free agent after the season and is currently sidelined, the acquisition cost remained relatively modest. Throughout his time in the minor leagues, he developed strong relationships with many of the club's top pitching prospects and earned praise for his game-calling and ability to work with young arms.Perhaps just as importantly, Feduccia still has one minor league option remaining, giving the Dodgers valuable roster flexibility.If Bubic returns healthy by the end of August, and Smith is back behind the plate shortly thereafter, the Dodgers could enter September healthier, deeper and once again positioned as one of baseball's most complete teams as they chase an unprecedented third consecutive World Series title.

It's a payback series for the Milwaukee Brewers. After trading for pitchers Dustin May, Jojo Romero and Antonio Senzatela near the deadline Aug. 3, the Brewers begin a four-game set at American Family Field against the Pittsburgh Pirates tonight.The Brewers will look to avenge a three-game sweep that took place in Pittsburgh in the final series before the All-Star break.
