Packers awarded rookie WR Chris Hilton Jr. off waivers from Commanders
The Green Bay Packers have another new receiver coming to training camp. The team claimed rookie receiver Chris Hilton Jr. off of waivers from the Washington Commanders on Sunday, per NFL reporter Aaron Wilson. The Packers made room for Hilton on the roster by waiving cornerback Marlon Jones and defensive back Johnathan Baldwin on Sunday. Hilton is the second receiver added in as many days. The Packers also signed Kisean Johnson, who was previously in Green Bay to end the 2025 season, before practice on Sunday. Hilton's arrival will put the Packers' roster back at capacity.Hilton signed with the Washington Commanders as an undrafted free agent following the 2026 draft. He was waived by the Commanders on Saturday, and the Packers were awarded him off waivers on Sunday. If he passes a physical, Hilton will be added to the Packers roster and be available to practice on Monday.Hilton measured 6-0 and 188 pounds at the NFL Scouting Combine, where he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.41 seconds, hit 34.5" in the vertical leap, covered 122" in the broad jump and finished the three-cone drill in 7.25 seconds. Due to poor size and agility testing, his Relative Athletic Score was only 5.83 despite a fast 40-yard dash time.During an injury-filled career at LSU, Hilton caught 41 passes for 780 yards and six touchdowns across 38 games. During no season did Hilton catch more than 13 passes or produce more than 243 yards. His speed is evident in big plays, however, and his career average per catch finished at 19.0 yards. Per PFF, Hilton lined up primarily on the outside while at LSU.Overall, Hilton ran only 431 total routes and saw 76 total targets over five seasons at LSU. His speed gave him deep threat ability, but he lacks size and struggled in contested catch situations (3-for-17, per PFF).This article originally appeared on Packers Wire: Packers awarded rookie WR Chris Hilton Jr. off waivers from Commanders

This teen bested Lydia Ko's record of youngest to win four LET titles
As a pair of 17-year-olds squared off in the final match of the U.S. Women's Amateur Championship, another 17-year-old was making history of her own in London. Anna Huang, the Canadian teen who has taken the Ladies European Tour by storm, won her fourth LET title in two years on Sunday, going wire-to-wire at the PIF London Championship at Centurion Club.Huang, now the youngest player in LET history to win four times, moved up to No. 2 on the season's Order of Merit. She held off the home favorite, Charley Hull, with an eagle on the final hole to win by two strokes. That was probably the most thrilling round of golf of my life, that was crazy. I have no words. Im just so shocked, said Huang.I knew coming down three tough holes was not easy, and I tried to focus on each shot because anything can happen in golf, and I stayed in my own lane."At 17 years, nine months and 10 days, Huang became the youngest player to win four LET titles, besting the previous record set by Lydia Ko at 18 years, four months and 20 days.Ive always looked up to Lydia, shes always been my idol growing up," said Huang. Terrion Arnold Could Return to Ford Field for Week 1 Matchup vs. Lions
Former Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold could soon land with a team that is already scheduled to visit Ford Field in Week 1.NFL Networks Mike Garafolo reported Sunday morning that Arnold will meet with the New Orleans Saints after recently visiting the Seattle Seahawks. Arnold has also visited the Houston Texans as teams continue evaluating both the former first-round pick and the serious legal situation surrounding him.The timing immediately makes this one worth watching in Detroit.Terrion Arnold Headed to New OrleansAccording to Garafolo, teams interested in Arnold are continuing to investigate a February incident that led to eight felony charges, including kidnapping and armed robbery.Arnold was released by the Lions earlier this offseason following his arrest. He remains free to sign with another NFL team while his case proceeds. For the Saints, the visit represents a chance to evaluate a talented cornerback who entered the NFL as Detroits first-round pick in 2024.For the Lions, there is another layer.A Week 1 Return to Detroit?Detroit opens the 2026 regular season against New Orleans on Sunday, Sept. 13 at Ford Field, a 1 p.m. kickoff on FOX.If Arnold signs with the Saints and makes their roster, his first regular-season game with his new team could come against the franchise that drafted him.Talk about an unusual Week 1 storyline. There is still plenty that would have to happen before Arnold actually lines up against Jared Goff and the Lions offense. A visit does not guarantee a contract, and any interested team will have significant questions to answer before bringing him aboard.Still, the possibility is now sitting there.Bottom LineTerrion Arnolds attempt to return to the NFL has now taken him to Houston, Seattle and New Orleans, with the Saints becoming particularly interesting from a Detroit perspective. If New Orleans decides to sign the former Lions first-round pick, Arnold could be back inside Ford Field almost immediately, only this time standing on the opposite sideline when the Lions begin their 2026 season. That would add another fascinating subplot to an opener that suddenly could become a lot more personal.

Cincinnati Bengals: Jonathan Allen settling in with new defense
For all the praise the Cincinnati Bengals defensive line has been getting this training camp, Jonathan Allen grades the units performance so far as a B.The Bengals new veteran defensive tackle said he likes what hes seen but nothing has truly been accomplished yet.Cincinnati will have a better idea what it really looks like at least to an extent Aug. 13 in the preseason opener against Detroit. The team held its first stadium practice in front of fans Friday, Aug. 7, to prepare for that first game. One month later, the real tests begin with the regular-season opener against Tampa Bay.I think weve done a lot of good things, a lot of things that we can improve on, but at the end of the day, were just stacking days, Allen said. None of this really matters until we do it in the game day. Im not a big fan on the word potential because potential is just another word for someone who hasnt done anything yet. So as a group, we havent done anything and its our job to go out there this year and prove it. So, were just taking it day by day and were just putting our head down and working.CloseCincinnati Bengals: Burrow still ranks among best QBs in NFL*Facebook*Twitter*WhatsApp*LinkedIn*SMS*Email*Print*Copy article link*SaveCincinnati Bengals: Chase Brown among middle tier of NFL running backs*Facebook*Twitter*WhatsApp*LinkedIn*SMS*Email*Print*Copy article link*SaveCincinnati Bengals: Receiving corps looking for more production in 2026*Facebook*Twitter*WhatsApp*LinkedIn*SMS*Email*Print*Copy article link*SaveCincinnati Bengals: Offensive line looking to continue climb in 2026*Facebook*Twitter*WhatsApp*LinkedIn*SMS*Email*Print*Copy article link*SaveCincinnati Bengals: Overhauled defensive line caught attention*Facebook*Twitter*WhatsApp*LinkedIn*SMS*Email*Print*Copy article link*SaveCincinnati Bengals: Linebackers expected to make leap in Year 2*Facebook*Twitter*WhatsApp*LinkedIn*SMS*Email*Print*Copy article link*SaveCincinnati Bengals: Are the safety concerns a thing of the past?*Facebook*Twitter*WhatsApp*LinkedIn*SMS*Email*Print*Copy article link*SaveCincinnati Bengals: Depth improved at cornerback*Facebook*Twitter*WhatsApp*LinkedIn*SMS*Email*Print*Copy article link*SaveHow do the Bengals position groups stack up against the rest of the NFL?Laurel Pfahler breaks down the Cincinnati Bengals position groups heading into the 2026 season in this 8-part series.Cincinnati Bengals: Burrow still ranks among best QBs in NFLCincinnati Bengals: Chase Brown among middle tier of NFL running backsCincinnati Bengals: Receiving corps looking for more production in 2026Cincinnati Bengals: Offensive line looking to continue climb in 2026Cincinnati Bengals: Overhauled defensive line caught attentionCincinnati Bengals: Linebackers expected to make leap in Year 2Cincinnati Bengals: Are the safety concerns a thing of the past?Cincinnati Bengals: Depth improved at cornerbackAllen, a first-round draft pick by Washington in 2017, signed a two-year deal with the Bengals as a free agent in March and was joined shortly after by Dexter Lawrence, acquired by trade from the Giants. Both were important pieces to an overhaul of the defense, which also added defensive end Boye Mafe, safeties Bryan Cook and Kyle Dugger and cornerback JaSir Taylor the latter two to create competition and improve depth.Coming to a team that had struggled so mightily on defense the past few years, Allen had to take a leap of faith in what the organization was building, but its been even better than he expected.I mean, I had no idea that we were going to sign Dexter Lawrence, but I love the pieces we had in place, Allen said. I think we had a lot of great young guys and I truly love this defensive coaching staff. And when you have a guy like Joe Burrow, it makes the decision pretty easy for me.The Bengals now go three-deep in the interior defensive line with two new starters pushing everyone back in the depth chart, including BJ Hill and TJ Slaton, and the edge rotation looks decent with rookie Cashius Howell flashing in camp.Lawrence has been disruptive, and Allen especially has enjoyed playing next to him.Its been awesome, Allen said. I think the biggest thing is we have a room full of unselfish guys who are genuinely working towards the same goal. And whenever you have that, its always going to be easy for guys to pick up the pace and kind of play well early on. So, D-line is one of those positions that already is kind of easier to get the gel flowing a little bit sooner than other positions. So its been going really well so far.Mafe, coming from Seattles Super Bowl team last year, described how the Bengals do things as interesting but said he likes the way they work. He called it smart.Allen liked that description and added there is a serious approach from the players. Its easy to see how driven everyone is to be successful, especially knowing how good the team could be if the defense just does its part like the offense already has shown it could with a lot of the same players over the years.Of course you always want to win, but guys are also going out there to prove themselves and establish themselves, and I feel like every year you have to do that, Allen said. But Ive been in the league and Dex has been in the league. Hey, Boye just won a Super Bowl. We understand that opportunities dont always come year in and year out. So, when you do have an opportunity to do something great, you got to take advantage of it.And I dont think the season is the time to start focusing on that. I think everything you do from this point, up until what we want to get to, you got to make it the goal. So, I think youve seen a lot of seriousness and thats good.
