• "Boundaries aren’t meant to scare me"-Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone gets real about pushing herself as she aims to achieve greater heights in the sport

Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, the reigning World Athlete of the Year, opened up about her fearless mindset in a recent Harper's Bazaar interview, declaring: "Boundaries aren’t meant to scare me; they’re meant to be pushed through." After a groundbreaking 2025 season—winning the 400m flat world title in Tokyo with a championship record 47.78 seconds and contributing to 4x400m relay gold—the Olympic champion reflected on stepping outside her comfort zone by switching from her dominant 400m hurdles. She views limits as opportunities for growth, both on the track and in life, like managing finances and personal development. This approach fuels her pursuit of excellence, with eyes on further records and possibly new events ahead of future competitions. #achievegreaterheights #SydneyMcLaughlinLevrone

  • Just over a month before the Olympic flame is lit, Livigno makes history by hosting for the very first time a stage of the Alpine Skiing World Cup: the Men’s Super-G, scheduled for December 27, 2025 at 11:30 CET. This unique and spectacular event will bring the world’s top athletes to the heart of the Alps, ready to challenge themselves on a brand-new course—technical and fast—combining flowing sections with demanding walls that feature slopes of up to 52%. Starting at 2,375 meters, not far from Rifugio Costaccia, the race will lead competitors down the Tagliede – Li Zeta slope to the town center finish line at 1,850 meters, offering the audience a direct view of the thrilling finale. With a length of 1,800 meters and a vertical drop of 517 meters, the course promises strong emotions and great spectacle, rewarding only the most complete skiers. It will be a contest of the highest technical level, a crucial test ahead of the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympics, and at the same time a celebration for the fans, who will experience first-hand the intensity of a sporting event destined to be remembered.

  • Shiffrin and Vonn are only the latest in a long line of amazing American women ski racers. Admittedly, they have raised the bar considerably but here’s one of my favorites. The great Picabo Street. Olympic gold medalist and two time World Cup downhill champion.
She was one of those racers that I could never get a bad shot of. She was always in control and looked the business.
This is her winning the ‘94 Lake Louise Women’s World Cup downhill.
