  • Leaving St Moritz with the leader bin in Downhill was not on my bingo card… but I’ll take it!

This weekend was amazing in so many ways. All the work that was put in over the past year is coming together. There are so many positives to take away from these races but I also always strive to be better. And I can be better. I have things to work on for next weekend in Val d’Isere and I am very excited to keep pushing myself to get better.

Also, huge congrats to my teammates this weekend as well! A lot of personal best results and overall the team is on a roll!

I’m leaving happy, grateful, humbled, tired…. Couldn’t ask for more. 🙏🏻

The best is yet to come!

  • Hannah Lim and Ye Quan - President's Rankings

Quan: We feel good. There were a lot more people than usual for Ranking and so that was very exciting, very energizing. We’re really happy that we could perform in front of all these fans that came to support us.

Lim: After the previous competition, we didn’t go back to Canada. We came straight to Korea and continued to train at Taeneung. In the morning, we got to see the other Team Korea athletes, and since we are close friends, we were very happy.

Quan: We make sure to write down every day what we want to do – kind of like a detailed schedule so we know every time what we have to do and when we have to do it. It's kind of an agenda. We also have video calls with our coaches in Montreal to plan everything and make sure that mentally both of us are okay and are able to manage everything.

The team plans on competing at 4CCs

    On representing South Korea:

Quan: I’m really motivated and proud to represent South Korea. Obviously, it also makes us more motivated to aim for the Olympic games and to keep promoting Ice Dance in South Korea. I think overall we’re really proud and happy."

"I think this season, the biggest goal for both of us up to now, was to get the technical points higher. Before being junior we didn't need to think about it—it was working. Starting senior was kind of okay and then starting this season [the judging] got more strict and our levels were lower than usual, and we thought that we really had to focus a lot more on our technical quality just making sure they are consistent. Not just doing it once and it's okay, but doing it five, ten times, and I think that's the biggest hurdle we've come around so far. We've done two months of preparation after Osaka up to Chongqing in China, and I think that really paid off and that the technical aspect is getting stronger and more consistent."

On how they feel with the upcoming Olympics:

Quan: It's exciting and stressful at the same time. When we qualified at worlds last year, it was like “we qualified” but it didn’t feel as real as right now. Now it's like in about 2-3 months we’re going to be at the Olympics! It's a lot closer than what I anticipated from my career and very happy about that.

Lim: I feel like for me I’m not going to believe it until I’m on the plane to Italy. So, for now, it feels close, but it doesn't feel close.

  • Wishing Sophia Floersch a very Happy 25th birthday today.

A history maker in recent seasons, Sophia became the first female racer to finish on the overall podium in the European Le Mans Series, taking 3rd at Portimao with for the Algarve Pro Racing Team (APRT) in 2021, having already made history by being part of the Richard Mille Racing Team's all-female entry in the 24 Heures du Mans.

In 2020 Floersch competed in Formula 3, only the 2nd woman to do so after the rebrand from GP3, combining her season with prototype racing entering the Le Castellet 240 with Beitske Visser.

She also raced in the DTM and in F3 in 2019, but is probably best known for her awful high speed crash at the 2018 Macau Grand Prix, from which she has fully recovered after suffering a fractured spine.
An horrendous incident, but one that perversely put her in motorsport spotlight.

Prior to that, fans of the BTCC & TOCA package will remember her racing in and winning the Ginetta Junior Championship, showcasing her obvious talent in tin tops and in open wheel racing alike.

Two years ago Sophia drove Giovanni Amati's 1992 Brabham BT60B at the Gulf Historic GP at the Dubai Autodrome, a car that raced before she was born - her first taste of F1 machinery.

In 2023 she became the first female to officially register points in an F3 race, doing so with her PHM Racing by Charouz team at Spa before joining Van Amersfoort Racing in 2024, taking a best of 12th at Imola before taking on the role of test & development driver with APRT in 2025 - a year spent promoting females in motorsport and other industries.

    Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Geburtstag, Sophia

  • Mikaela Shiffrin Extends Ski Racing Dominance in Gurgl, but Tragic World Cup Day Ends With Heartbreaking News

In the crisp alpine air of Gurgl, Austria, Mikaela Shiffrin etched another chapter in her legendary career on November 23, 2025, claiming her record-extending 103rd World Cup victory in the women's slalom. The 30-year-old American phenom dominated the Kirchenkar course, finishing 1.23 seconds ahead of Albania's rising star Lara Colturi, with Switzerland's Camille Rast securing third. It marked Shiffrin's second consecutive slalom win to open the 2025-26 season, following her triumph in Levi, Finland, and her 66th career slalom crown—both all-time records."Not easy, but I knew the others were pushing," Shiffrin said post-race, her aggressive lines flawless under sunny skies that transformed the icy track. Teammate Paula Moltzan impressed with fifth place, bolstering U.S. hopes ahead of next week's Copper Mountain races. Shiffrin, now the overall standings leader, eyes Milano Cortina 2026 gold with renewed fire.Yet the day's euphoria shattered with heartbreaking news: French slalom specialist Julien Heer, 28, suffered a catastrophic crash during a training run earlier that morning, succumbing to severe head injuries en route to the hospital. Heer, a consistent top-20 contender with two prior podiums, leaves behind a wife and young daughter. The FIS suspended all sessions in somber tribute, as racers and officials grappled with grief. Shiffrin, visibly shaken, dedicated her win to Heer: "Skiing's joy comes with these shadows—we race for them."Gurgl's glamour faded into reflection, underscoring alpine's perilous edge. As Shiffrin prepares for home soil, the community mourns a brother lost too soon, vowing fiercer resolve. #HeartbreakingNews #TragicWorldCup #MikaelaShiffrin
