Electric air heaters use electrical resistance elements to generate heat. These heaters are widely used in residential and commercial spaces for their clean operation, ease of control, and precise temperature regulation. They are ideal for indoor environments, small workshops, or laboratory applications where direct fuel combustion is impractical.

Gas-fired air heaters burn natural gas, propane, or other fuels to heat air. They are commonly used in large industrial spaces, warehouses, and greenhouses due to their high heat output and cost efficiency. Gas air heaters may operate as direct-fired, where combustion gases mix with the air, or indirect-fired, where heat is transferred through a heat exchanger, keeping the combustion products separate from the air stream.

Oil-fired air heaters operate similarly to gas heaters but use liquid fuel. These heaters are suitable for outdoor or large-scale applications where gas supply may be limited. They are often found in construction sites, agricultural facilities, and large workshops, offering high efficiency and rapid heat output.

Steam or hot water air heaters use steam or hot water from boilers to heat air via a coil or heat exchanger. These systems are commonly used in industrial processes, commercial HVAC systems, and institutional buildings, providing uniform heating while integrating with existing boiler systems.

Infrared and ceramic air heaters offer specialized heating applications. Infrared heaters provide radiant heat for localized comfort or industrial drying, while ceramic heaters are compact, energy-efficient, and suitable for small spaces or portable devices.
