SPORTS.YAHOO.COMStrange stat shows Yankees Ryan Weathers has the worst luck in New York right nowStrange stat shows Yankees Ryan Weathers has the worst luck in New York right now originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.It was another tough performance for the New York Yankees on Tuesday night, dropping Game 2 of a four-game set against the Los Angeles Angels, 7-1. We can go down the list of what went wrong for the Yankees in the outing, but Ryan Weathers allowing back-to-back-to-back home runs in the top of the first certainly didn't get the game going on the right foot. The Yankees' offense wasn't able to do much throughout the entirety of the contest, only scoring one run on a sac fly from Ben Rice in the eighth inning.Weirdly enough, while the Yankees didn't play well in that game, there are some strange things going on when Weathers is on the mound. In another oddity, the Yankees have yet to score with Weathers on the mound in any of his four starts this season. Last Thursday, they dropped his outing against the A's 1-0. This time, he exited in the sixth inning trailing 3-0 before Paul Blackburn allowed two inherited runners to score on Yon Moncada's two-run single, Jorge Castillo of ESPN wrote. This means that the Yankees have yet to score a run while he's in the contest. This is a very strange stat, and while I understand that the Yankees' offense hasn't exactly been great to start the season, it's a bit surprising to see them not be able to put together one run in one of his four starts.More MLB news:Former MLB All-Star absolutely blasts Francisco Lindor as struggles reach new heightsJuan Soto injury update is far from ideal for Mets amid horrid skidDespite Mets' poor play, New Yorks series against Dodgers is making Major League Baseball historyMets Carlos Mendoza will quickly learn that adversity will get him firedDodgers Shohei Ohtani pitching plan wont change despite him being hit by a pitch on his shoulderAlex Cora speaks on whether Garrett Crochet is dealing with an injury after latest Red Sox setback0 Comments 0 Shares 4 Views 0 Reviews

WWW.KSAT.COMDrone sightings in restricted airspace at Colorado Rockies games prompt warning from authoritiesA rash of drone sightings during the Colorado Rockies' first homestand of the season against the Philadelphia Phillies sent law enforcement scrambling to track down the operators. No one was arrested after more than a half dozen drone sightings around Coors Field April 3 to April 5, but it is possible the drone pilots could still face a fine later. Still the Federal Aviation Administration and FBI issued a warning Thursday to try to keep drones away from the stadium during the Rockies' next home games because they are concerned about the potential threat they pose. The illegal drone activity did not jeopardize anyones safety, but there were enough violations that the teams on the ground were concerned about the number of operators that did not seem to understand the seriousness of the situation. Thus the proactive messaging, FBI spokeswoman Vikki Migoya said. The FAA routinely restricts the airspace around major sporting events to protect the crowds and make sure the game can be played without interruptions. The greatest fear is that someone could use a drone in a terrorist attack that could be just as deadly as the drone attacks that have become common on the battlefields of the Ukraine and Iran wars. That is why the federal government and World Cup host cities are investing hundreds of millions in drone defenses ahead of those games. But even without a threat like that, Migoya said the problem is that illegal drone activity distracts law enforcement.Every instance of illegal drone activity requires a law enforcement intervention to ensure the intent is not nefarious; the fewer violations there are, the more law enforcement can focus on what might be a true threat, she said. All the airspace within 3 miles of Coors Field is restricted starting one hour before a game and continuing for one hour after a baseball or football game. Pilots are responsible for checking those restrictions before they fly. The FAA said that drone operators who violated the restrictions could face fines up to $75,000 per violation and even lose their licenses. Drones are also required to broadcast their locations. But authorities have other methods available to track down the operators.0 Comments 0 Shares 12 Views 0 Reviews -

WWW.GBNEWS.COMImane Khelif suffers major setback as statement issued by boxing chiefImane Khelif's professional boxing debut has been postponed after the fighter sustained a muscle tear close to the shoulder blade. The Algerian Olympic champion was scheduled to face German fighter Julia Igel at the Salle Wagram venue in Paris on 23 April, but the entire event has now been suspended. No replacement date has been confirmed for the card, which was set to showcase several professional contests. The withdrawal comes just a fortnight before Khelif was due to step into the ring for a first elite-level bout, marking another setback for the Paris 2024 gold medallist who remains embroiled in ongoing gender eligibility disputes.TRENDINGStoriesVideosYour SayKhelif's coach John Dovi, who previously led the French Olympic boxing squad at Rio 2016, revealed the severity of the problem."Last Friday, Imane felt severe pain in her arm. In fact, there had been discomfort for some time. On Saturday, Khelif was unable to lift her arm," he explained.Medical examinations revealed a small tear in Khelif's back near the shoulder blade area.Despite Khelif's determination to proceed with the fight, promoter Brahim Asloum decided against taking unnecessary risks."The health and physical integrity of our athletes remain our top priority. We wish Imane Khelif a speedy recovery," Asloum stated on Monday.LATEST SPORTS NEWS:LIV Golf chief provides major update on future of controversial tour as Saudis ponder pulling fundingDeclan Rice triggers furious backlash after Arsenal battle into Champions League semi-finalsJude Bellingham and other Real Madrid players have complete meltdown after Bayern Munich defeatDovi confirmed that physiotherapy and rest are required, with hopes of resuming training within 10 days.Khelif has been at the heart of fierce debate over gender eligibility since competing in the women's boxing tournament at the Paris Olympics. The International Boxing Association barred the fighter from the 2023 World Championships in New Delhi, yet she went on to claim the -66kg title at the Games after receiving clearance from the International Olympic Committee, which had stripped the IBA of recognition over governance concerns. The 2024 champion has not competed since August 2025, when World Boxing introduced mandatory sex testing requirements. The governing body gained Olympic recognition in February last year, fundamentally altering the competitive landscape for athletes facing eligibility questions. The suspended card was also due to feature significant title contests, including a World Boxing Association interim lightweight championship bout between Rio 2016 Olympic gold medallist Estelle Mossely and Argentina's Karen Elizabeth Carabajal, alongside a WBA Gold super-welterweight clash pitting Marine Beauchamp against Spain's Patricia Martn Cabrera. This marks the latest in a series of cancelled appearances for Khelif, who previously withdrew from a planned event in Eindhoven in June 2025 and pulled out of the World Boxing Championships in Liverpool last September. The Algerian has consistently expressed an ambition to defend her Olympic crown at Los Angeles 2028.Our Standards: The GB News Editorial Charter0 Comments 0 Shares 12 Views 0 Reviews -
