Following their road victory to stave off a sweep, the Penguins returned to an absolutely electric PPG Paints Arena and slashed the Flyers' series lead to 3-2.Elmer Soderblom kicked off the scoring with his first postseason goal, lighting the lamp just 2:45 into the contest. The Penguins doubled their advantage early in the second period on Connor Dewar's second goal in as many games. Philadelphia roared back, however, with Alex Bump trimming the lead only 12 seconds later and Travis Sanheim tying the game late in the second period.Kris Letang then launched a shot that rattled off the back wall, took a bizarre bounce and snuck in behind Flyers netminder Dan Vladar, giving Pittsburgh a 3-2 lead that it never relinquished. Carnell played a hybrid safety/linebacker role in Missouris defense the last three years.
