WWW.FOXSPORTS.COMArsenal's Ben White To Miss World Cup With England Due To MCL InjuryArsenal defender Ben White is out of contention for the World Cup after sustaining medial ligament damage. The Premier League leader confirmed the injury on Tuesday and said the England international would be out for the rest of the season. "Our medical team are now managing Bens recovery and rehabilitation program," Arsenal said in a statement. It said the aim was for White to be ready for the start of its preseason preparations. This means White will also miss the upcoming UEFA Champions League final against PSG. White was injured in the first half of Sunday's 1-0 win against West Ham. He returned to the national team in March following a near four-year absence after walking out on the squad midway through the last World Cup. He played in friendly games against Uruguay and Japan and was in contention to be part of coach Thomas Tuchel's squad for the World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico. White is one of a number of high-profile players to sustain injuries ahead of this year's tournament staged in June and July. The Associated Press contributed to this report.0 Commenti 0 condivisioni 45 Views 0 Anteprima -

WWW.KSAT.COMTimberwolves focus on physicality, discipline ahead of Game 5 against SpursThe Timberwolves need to win in the Alamo City at least one more time to continue their playoff run. The series has been nothing short of entertaining from the beginning.Defensive Player of the Year Victor Wembanyama was ejected from Game 4, uncharacteristically, after getting a Flagrant 2 foul for throwing an elbow out of frustration at Timberwolves forward Naz Reid.At Timberwolves shootaround, the team emphasized balancing physicality and keeping Wembanyama out of the paint. Its similar to baseball. If a pitcher hits a batter, then the next inning, if they retaliate right away, then they tend to get the harsher punishment, Timberwolves guard Ayo Dosunmu said. So its about just playing smart, he added. We have to use that experience. If its one of those games thats going to get called tighter, youve got to play with that physicality, said Timberwolves veteran guard Mike Conley. Cant be two games ago, cant be last game. We have to be ready for whats called tonight. Weve handled that well. Both teams are painfully aware they have to stay disciplined. The Timberwolves know that if they want to continue playing in the postseason, they have to win at least one more time in the Alamo City.Tipoff for Game 5 is at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Frost Bank Center.More Spurs coverage on KSAT:Ernie Zuniga to join Spurs fans at The Rock at La Cantera ahead of Game 5 against TimberwolvesWembanyama wont face further discipline following ejection-worthy elbow in Game 4, ESPN reportsSW Military neighbors, Spurs fans react to viral playoff celebrations0 Commenti 0 condivisioni 78 Views 0 Anteprima
