SPORTS.YAHOO.COMUFC Fight Night: Arnold Allen gets back on track with decision over Melquizael CostaArnold Allen got right Saturday night at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas. After dropping three of his last four fights, the featherweight defeated Melquizael Costa via unanimous decision (50-45, 50-45, 49-46), consistently getting the better of the exchanges and constantly landing straight left hands.Costa entered the bout on a six-fight winning streak with four of those victories coming inside the distance against such familiar names as Andre Fili and Dan Ige.But it was Allens experience and well-rounded game that was too much for the Brazilian. While Allen had been lacking in the win column of late, he was facing some of the best fighters in the division, dropping decisions to Max Holloway, Movsar Evloev and Jean Silva. It was that level of competition that may have been the difference for the Brit, who didnt have a specific callout after the fight and said he was focused on starting a family with his wife.Check out complete UFC Fight night results below:Main cardFeatherweight: Arnold Allen def. SPORTS.YAHOO.COMRousey vs. Carano salaries: Ronda Rousey, Gina Carano and Francis Ngannou earn 7-figure paydaysRonda Rousey and Gina Carano are set to earn the biggest paydays on the first ever MVP MMA card on Saturday as they clash in the main event with the card airing live on Netflix. On Saturday, the California State Athletic Commission released the salaries to MMA Fighting with Rousey, Carano and Ngannou earning the most on the 11-fight card. Every fighter on the card was also paid a flat fee so there was no show-win bonus, which is typical for other promotions like the UFC.In her first fight back in a decade, Rousey is set to earn $2.2 million for her return to action after stepping away from the sport in 2016 following back-to-back losses in the UFC.Meanwhile, Carano is taking home $1.05 million for her first fight back in 17 years as the womens MMA pioneer gets back in the cage for the first time since falling to Cris Cyborg back in 2009.While Carano is earning over a million dollars, shes actually not the second highest paid athlete on the card behind Rousey. That honor belongs to former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, who is set to earn $1.5 million for his heavyweight fight against Philipe Lins, who is taking home $100,000 for his part in the fight.Nate Diaz is earning $500,000 for his return to MMA after he left the UFC and began competing in boxing over the past couple of years. Diaz had been in talks with the UFC about a potential return to the promotion with interest in a trilogy against Conor McGregor but the Stockton, Calif. native ultimately chose to sign with MVP for his fight against Mike Perry. As for Perry, hes earning $400,000 for the fight against Diaz after he became the face of bare-knuckle fighting over the past few years while competing in BKFC.Here are the full salaries for the Rousey vs. Carano cardRonda Rousey: $2.2 millionGina Carano: $1.05 millionNate Diaz: $500,000Mike Perry: $400,000Francis Ngannou: $1.5 millionPhilipe Lins: $100,000Salahdine Parnasse: $70,000Kenneth Cross: $50,000Junior dos Santos: $80,000Robelis Despaigne: $50,000Namo Baker: $40,000Jake Babian: $40,000Adriano Moraes: $80,000Phumi Nkuta: $60,000Jason Jackson: $110,000Jefferson Creighton: $50,000David Mgoyan: $50,000Albert Morales: $40,000Aline Pereira: $40,000Jade Masson-Wong: $40,000Chris Avila: $50,000Brandon Jenkins: $40,0000 Comentários 0 Compartilhamentos 70 Visualizações 0 Anterior
