As for what this acquisition would mean for the Blackhawks on the ice, well, their forward group would actually look passable for the first time in the Bedard era. Kane, while older, can still resemble a near-60-point player at his best. DeBrincat, meanwhile, is coming off 107 goals combined in his last three seasons. The man is still a sniper near the net. Imagine a potential line featuring the gifted Bedard at center with DeBrincat and Kane on the respective wings. The potential for consistent fireworks from this trio would be massive. The writing might not yet be on the wall for a DeBrincat reunion with the Blackhawks. But there definitely seems to be a path to his return. How long have Patrick Kane and Alex DeBrincat been teammates? Kane and DeBrincat were first teammates on the Blackhawks from 2017 to 2022. They would later reunite on the Red Wings in 2023 and have played together ever since.
