Ready To Trade Pompet And Nat Khat Min Promise Epic Main Event War At ONE Friday Fights 163
Absolute fireworks are guaranteed when Thai dynamo Pompet PongSuphan PK and debuting Myanmarese warrior Nat Khat Min collide in the blockbuster main event of ONE Friday Fights 163.The pair meet in a highly anticipated flyweight Muay Thai showdown, broadcasting live in Asia primetime from inside Bangkoks legendary Lumpinee Stadium on Friday, July 24, shortly after The Inner Circle 23.View this post on InstagramA dominant, highlight-reel showing from either elite striker could instantly propel them toward a coveted, life-changing US$100,000 main-roster contract, adding massive weight to what is already shaping up to be a cant-miss collision. With absolutely everything on the line, both men have made their destructive intentions for fight night abundantly clear.Pompet Gears Up For An All-Out WarPompet PongSuphan PK walks into this high-stakes clash well aware of exactly what another statement victory could do for his career. The 27-year-old striking dynamo has endured a turbulent run of results over the past two years, but as the old combat sports adage goes, form is temporary while class is permanent. His two most recent victories are absolute proof of exactly that. Sandwiched around a narrow defeat, he has picked up a pair of devastating TKO victories, most recently stopping Jaosuayai Mor Krungthepthonburi at ONE Friday Fights 147.Continuing that surging momentum could go a long way toward permanently securing his long-term future on the global stage. The Thai shared:If I get through this fight with an impressive win and follow it up with one or two more victories, I believe my chances of getting a ONE contract will increase significantly. Ill give it my all and wont disappoint my fans.View this post on InstagramPompet is certainly not expecting an easy night at the office against Nat Khat Min. The debuting lethwei specialist brings a terrifying blend of raw aggression and concussive knockout power, which demands immediate respect rather than complacency.Despite never having shared the ring with a fighter hailing from that specific stylistic background, the seasoned Thai who is actively chasing the 111th victory of his illustrious career knows exactly how grueling that style tends to be. His meticulously crafted game plan centers on utilizing his superior hand speed to strike first, before systematically shifting his heavy focus to the body.Securing that lucrative contract remains the ultimate professional priority, but the PK Saenchai affiliate has one more deeply personal reason to chase a definitive finish this time around. He told onefc.com:If he comes out aggressive right from the first round, Im ready to trade. Im confident in my timing, and my deeper experience in Muay Thai will help me handle his style. My goal is to get another finish to win a bonus as a welcoming gift for my 3-month-old son.View this post on InstagramNat Khat Min Ready For His MomentStepping onto the global stage for the very first time, Nat Khat Min appears absent of nerves. Instead, the Zwe Kapin Myay representative is fired up to put on an unforgettable show in his inaugural appearance inside the worlds largest martial arts organization. He arrives with a golden opportunity to add his name to an already proud lineage of Myanmar athletes who have thrived under the brightest lights, following in the heavy footsteps of former two-division ONE MMA World Champion Aung La The Burmese Python N Sang, atomweight contender Vero The Kayan Leopard, and a rapidly growing list of compatriots who have left an indelible mark on the global stage. That immense excitement, however, has not clouded his sharp tactical focus on the difficult task standing directly in front of him.The 26-year-old said:Its my first fight in ONE Championship, and obviously, its a big fight as well, so Im still quite a bit excited about it. My opponent is very good and tough. I have to go toe-to-toe against him and trade punches.View this post on InstagramWhile fully game to trade heavy strikes with Pompet in the center of the ring, Nat Khat Min refuses to put a definitive prediction on exactly how the fight will play out.But forged in the unforgiving fires of lethwei the art of nine limbs his reputation as a ruthless finisher precedes him, and sparks are all but guaranteed the exact moment these two warriors go to war at ONE Friday Fights 163.Regardless of how the chaos unfolds, his priorities heading into his first appearance in the mecca of Muay Thai remain incredibly simple and grounded. The Myanmarese athlete concluded:I just want to make sure its a good fight for all the fans who are watching. Its such a big fight, and Myanmar fans will be out in full force. Its going to be good.View this post on InstagramSource

One is the starting right guard job.Starting RG job: Isaiah Adams and Chase BisontisAdams is in his third season. He started five games as a rookie. He opened last season as the starter, was replaced by Will Hernandez and then, after Hernandez got hurt, he finished the season as the starter. He also ran with the first-team offense all through the spring in the offseason program. However, Bisontis was the Cardinals' second-round pick this year, selected 34th overall. Where he was drafted suggests that he is the guy the organization would like to win the job, and he was projected to be drafted as high as the first round. Most believe that Bisontis will ultimately win the job, but can Adams, who looked much better at the end of last season, hold him off?Get more Cardinals and NFL coverage from Cards Wire's Jess Root and others by listening to the latest on the Rise Up, See Red podcast. ADM tops Carlisle for program's first Iowa softball state title
FORT DODGE In the new era of double elimination at the Iowa high school state softball tournament, No. 1 seed Adel-De Soto-Minburn still left no doubt, going undefeated at the tournament on its way to a state title. The Tigers ended a dominant, wire-to-wire run to their first-ever state title with a 6-0 win over Raccoon River Conference foe Carlisle on Thursday, July 23. Starring in the effort were pitcher Lauren Hagedorn and catcher Kinzie Maxwell. Hagedorn gave up just four hits and conceded no runs in the circle, while Maxwell was 3-for-3 at the plate with a single, double, a home run, two RBIs and a walk. From the first round to the state title game, the Tigers went 4-0, outscoring their opponents 29-6 over the week in Fort Dodge. ADM had not lost since June 16, ending the campaign on a 24-game win streak. This is ADM's first softball state title as a school, though Adel High School won in 1970 before the three towns combined to create ADM."I hope all the younger girls underneath us (at ADM) can look up to us and know they can do it and they have the power to do it," Maxwell said. More: Iowa high school state softball tournament 2026: Scores, bracketsThe Tigers, just like during their path to a state championship, controlled the game from start to finish. Maxwell got her team on the board first with a hard-hit RBI double to center field to bring home Hagedorn. Before the end of the inning, Makenna Pitlick's hit to shallow center field got down as two Carlisle players collided. The sequence allowed courtesy runner Peyton Herrick to score. Carlisle senior Alyvia Freeman had to be helped off with an injury, but re-entered the game at shortstop in the next inning. In the bottom of the third, it was Maxwell again with a big play. Leading off the frame, she drilled a shot over the center field wall to give the Tigers a 3-0 advantage. In the bottom of the fifth, with Maxwell on first base after a single, Aubrey Noring lasered a single to deep center field to score ADM's fourth run of the game. Noring would also score to make it 5-0, reaching home following an RBI single from Finley Schaul. The final run across was Elliotte Von Roden, who reached home thanks to a bases-loaded walk. The Tigers had it all in this game, from high-powered offense, lights-out pitching and a defense dialed in."They knew they had this game," said ADM coach Lindsay Stanford. "They had it. They believed in themselves. They knew if they did the work, that was going to be the outcome."The Wildcats' season came to an end with a 36-7 record. This was the program's 23rd state tournament appearance in coach Jim Flaws' 40-year tenure at the helm. Key seniors Mallie Stoner, Ella Smith, Alyvia Freeman, among others, depart high school with plenty to be proud of, having won a state title in 2024.More: Coaches weigh-in on new Iowa softball state tournament format| EXCLUSIVEFor ADM, Thursday's game was a chance at revenge. The Tigers had been to the state tournament six consecutive seasons, but have fallen short each time. In 2024, Carlisle cut ADM's title hopes one game shy of a state championship. This time around, ADM would leave nothing to chance, concluding its dream season at 37-4, with a dominant win streak and a state title to show for it."We have been on the other end of this situation, it really sucks," Hagedorn said. "Being on the winning end is really exciting and really big for this team."Eli McKown covers high school sports and wrestling for the Des Moines Register. Contact him at Emckown@gannett.com.
