Kyle Larson crashes out of Brickyard 400, finishing last
Motorsport photoKyle Larson continues to experience nothing but misfortune as of late, and Indianapolis Motor Speedway was no kinder to the two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion.Larson started tenth, but managed to undercut several drivers through an early pit stop, and was five laps away from winning Stage 1 of the Brickyard 400 when disaster struck.Entering Turn 3, the No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet suddenly snapped around and slammed the outside wall. Larson radioed to the team that he believed he may have cut a left-rear tire. There's trouble in Turn 3!@KyleLarsonRacin spins and gets into the wall. pic.twitter.com/sO5CSfXqfO NASCAR (@NASCAR) July 26, 2026Crew chief Cliff Daniels reacted with shock and disbelief, and was seen speaking with Goodyear representatives soon after. Some teams have been known to abuse theThis continues an unusual winless streak for Larson, dating back to before his 2025 Indy 500/Coke 600 Double. Larson remains winless in 2026, and will finish 39th and scoring just one point."We just had a tire let go," said Larson outside the infield care center. "Iwouldn't say that pushing had anything to do with it. I was only going three tenths quicker than I was (before), saving fuel. Just a little bit of bad luck. Proud of the team. We qualified tenth, did what we had to do to gain track position to get to the lead, and executed that all really well. Still a lot of the race left, but I feel like we were positioningourselves within the race and within the strategy to go after a win. Bummer, but we'll get back after it in Iowa."Larson entered this race sixth in the championship standings, but is likely to lost multiple positions with how close those behind him now are. Every position is critical for seeding in the Chase reset after Daytona in just over a month. With his Brickyard 400 result, Larson will have finished 34th or worse in three of the last four races. Not long after his exit, Larson's Hendrick Motorsports teammate Chase Elliott hit the wall after contact with Ricky Stenhouse Jr., forcing the No. 9 HMS Chevy behind the wall as well.To read more Motorsport.com articles visit our website.

Only former Australia captain Aaron Finch has more ducks as captain in the format, with eight. Babar Azam and Rohit Sharma are next on the list with six each. Most ducks as T20I captain (Full Member teams):8 Aaron Finch7 Sikandar Raza6 Babar Azam6 Rohit SharmaThe dismissal came in the fourth over of Zimbabwe's chase of 193. Yash bowled a short-of-length delivery that hurried Raza, who attempted to play towards the leg side. The ball took the leading edge and looped back towards the bowler. Yash reacted quickly, moved to his left in his follow-through and completed a one-handed catch to dismiss the Zimbabwe captain. The wicket also put the Indian pacer on a hat-trick.The duck also saw Raza move level with former Zimbabwe wicketkeeper-batter Regis Chakabva for the most ducks by a Zimbabwe player in T20 internationals. Most ducks for Zimbabwe in T20Is:11 Regis Chakabva11 Sikandar Raza9 Blessing Muzarabani9 Richard NgaravaEarlier, India posted 192/5 after being asked to bat first. Fifteen-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi led the innings with 81 off 48 balls. He paced his innings according to the conditions on a pitch that offered some help to the bowlers and brought up his second T20I fifty in 31 balls. The youngster produced some of his trademark shots, including a straight drive for four off Brad Evans' yorker and a 102-metre six off Raza. Vikings listed as a potential landing spot for veteran pass rusher
The Minnesota Vikings have a void at EDGE rusher behind Andrew Van Ginkel and Dallas Turner. They traded Jonathan Greenard to the Eagles on Day 2 of the draft, freeing up cap space and receiving draft capital in return, but now have little depth at the position.Since then, the Vikings have been linked to several veteran pass rushers who could provide depth and leadership. One of the more overlooked possibilities is Joey Bosa, who will enter his 11th season in the NFL in 2026.Alex Kay of Bleacher Report lists Minnesota as an "overlooked landing spot" for Bosa, who spent the 2025 season with the Bills. Many clubs would prefer to add a veteran presence to their pass-rush rotation to be better prepared for the long season ahead, but the Minnesota Vikings are one of the league's most intriguing fits for Bosa.Renowned defensive coordinator Brian Flores thrives on disguising pressure packages and creating one-on-one opportunities for his edge defenders. Bosa wouldn't need to carry the pass rush by himself either, instead rotating alongside a deep and talented front that benefits from an aggressive, blitz-heavy system.Bosa flashed his disruptive ability during his lone season with the Buffalo Bills in 2025, recording five sacks while forcing a league-high five fumbles. A nagging hamstring injury slowed him towards the end of the campaign, but Bosa still managed to appear in at least 14 games for the second consecutive season.Bosa is a five-time Pro Bowler who has racked up 77 career sacks. He hasn't posted double-digit sack numbers since 2021, but he still provides some juice (16.5 sacks over the past three seasons) and could be even more effective as a rotational piece. If the Vikings end up signing Bosa, they could cross EDGE rusher off their "to-do" list. AtlticoMadrid could force Barcelona to take a surprise transfer stance this summer
AtlticoMadrid could force Barcelona to take a surprise transfer stance this summerLa Liga champions Barcelona have not ruled out the possibility of heading into the new season with the current crop of attacking talent at the disposal of Hansi Flick. This comes as the Blaugrana face up to the prospect of missing out on no.1 striker target Julin Alvarez. The Camp Nou brass have of course been hard at work in efforts to bring Alvarez to Catalunyas capital for some time now. Earlier in the summer, Joan Laporta and co. even went as far as to table a 100 million offer for his services.Atltico, however, have to this point refused to even open the door to the possibility of a sale. Not only that, but the Rojiblancos have publicly stated on more than one occasion that Alvarez will be going nowhere over the weeks ahead. And in the case of this stance remaining intact, unless the Argentine is willing to essentially hold his current employers to ransom, Barcelona could well opt to stand pat on the attacking front through the close of the window. As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:There is no sense of urgency or desperation atBara. Julin remains a strong target, but after bringing inAnthony GordonandKarim Adeyemi, Bara are not ruling out the possibility of not signing any more strikers this summer unless there are further high-profile departures.Conor Laird GSFN
