Omega then preserved that matchup by successfully defending the AEW World Championship against Kevin Knight at Redemption.The women's title picture also took a major turn. Mercedes Mon won the Women's Owen Hart Cup to earn a championship opportunity at All In, but the expected matchup changed when Willow Nightingale defeated Thekla at Redemption to capture the AEW Women's World Championship.Beyond the world title pictures, Redemption also began laying the groundwork for the undercard. After Adam Copeland and Christian Cage successfully retained the AEW World Tag Team Championship against Claudio Castagnoli and PAC, The Young Bucks confronted them and pointed at the titles. Moments later, a match graphic confirmed Copeland and Cage vs. Matt and Nick Jackson for the championships at Wembley.Another match that appears to be taking shape is Kyle Fletcher vs. Konosuke Takeshita vs. Kazuchika Okada.
