Many believed the future Hall of Famer was going to return to the Cleveland Cavaliers or the Miami Heat where he has plenty of history with. even the Golden State Warriors made a ton of sense rather than him heading to Philadelphia.James heading to the Sixers forms the latest "superteam" as he joins Tyrese Maxey, Jaylen Brown, Joel Embiid, and VJ Edgecombe. Maxey averaged 28.3 points, Brown averaged 28.7, Embiid averaged 26.9, and James 20.9 in the 2025-26 season. Those four will be in the starting lineup next to Edgecombe who averaged 16.0 points per game. Philadelphia's starting lineup is hands down the best in the league.The move does bring criticism from some as James joining the Sixers seems "unfair" to many. Houston Rockets star Kevin Durant has dealt with that throughout his career, particularly in his move to join the Warriors in 2016, and he gave his thoughts on James joining the Sixers per ESPN:"The last time they put three 20-point scorers on a team, they said it was unfair, which was the [Warriors] team I was on," Durant said at a USA Basketball event Saturday. "[The 76ers] have got four 25-point scorers on this team. So, hell yeah, I think they're going to be a contender. They're going to be a fun team to watch. It's going to be League Pass-worthy.""I didn't know at all," Durant said. "LeBron is stealth like that. I know there's a lot of noise around him, but you never know what's on his mind. I'm happy for him. It's a great decision for him to go to a team that has a good chance to win. Philly is a great fanbase, a great market, and it's great for the league. Its down to all those involved, and it was a pretty cool to be part of this.It was a lot of fun just to know that youre a part of the future. It was also fun because it was drying conditions, so you had to search for the grip a little bit, which is always entertaining. And the car is just really rewarding to drive. It doesn't do anything unpredictable and gives you good feedback, and you know what's coming, which is great.Rossi took a few installation laps at 9:30 a.m. Eastern Time on Saturday before returning for the actual validation part of the test 2:55 p.m. ET. He was on track for a lengthy first run. After changing tires and making a few adjustments, he returned to the track and completed more laps before a serve storm warning was issued and the session completed. So, were getting the aero numbers for the first time, and the weight distribution numbers for the first time. You're having to kind of fine-tune that and adjust it a little bit, and obviously, as you saw, it wasn't a whole lot of running. But in terms of the baseline, it was very comfortable from the get-go, but there is obviously, a lot more to come and unlock. But from a spec damper to a new aero profile to a new chassis to new electronics, it was pretty great.I asked Rossi of the additional qualities that he felt, what jumped out at him?The big thing that was pretty amazing, and not to draw comparisons to F1 because we dont like doing that, but I think anyone that drives a Formula One car for the first time, they notice how smooth the car is, not from a powertrain standpoint, but just on the surface standpoint, Rossi answered in a detailed explanation. To this point, his NFL career has been a roller coaster. That ride started even before he heard his named called in the draft three years ago. Levis infamously was left waiting in the green room. A polarizing prospect notably touted by ESPNs Mel Kiper Jr., Levis slid out of the first round. Instead, he became a Day 2 selection. Levis still made his debut as a rookie, though, flashing his toughness, arm talent and emotion amid the final season of Mike Vrabels Titans tenure.The following season, with Brian Callahan at the helm, Levis got his shot as Tennessees full-time starter. Granted he wasnt necessarily in a fruitful situation, but his second-year campaign hardly went to plan. Baffling and meme-worthy turnovers riddled his stint as the Titans first-string signal-caller. Levis had encouraging moments; however, the shoulder injury, inconsistencies and poor decisions haunted his season. Tennessee clocked out 3-14, including 2-10 in Levis starts.That record landed the Titans the No. 1 overall pick in last years draft. They used it on Ward, who was permitted to wear Warren Moons fabled No. 1 jersey and effectively anointed as the starter before the word competition could be even be uttered.Out of the spotlight and on injured reserve, Levis aimed to maximum his recovery time. He told reporters Saturday that his hiatus from the game was his first in football since probably second grade. He asserts that, in addition to returning to full physical strength, he made strides mentally, emotionally and spiritually.I think it was just truly trying to be honest with myself with a lot of things that happened, whether it was on the field, off the field, he said. I think I've suppressed a lot of emotions I've had in the past just to be the person to not care about it. But sometimes that's not healthy. Addressing things that I felt that came up from the past that I wasn't able to truly move on from sometimes it's uncomfortable to have those conversations, and that's why I avoided it in the past. But being able to have them and have that time off and address them was really helpful.Levis said he feels like he was just a kid when he arrived in Nashville as a first-year Titans player. Hes entering the 2026 season as a 27-year-old quarterback on his third NFL full-time head coach. Robert Saleh is running the ship, and Levis is working closely with offensive coordinator Brian Daboll.Levis discussed how Daboll, most recently the New York Giants head coach, strikes a balance between fun and focus. Plus, Levis said he loves the approach Daboll takes toward the QB position. Daboll allows the Titans quarterbacks to play with freedom and trusts their decision-making. Levis thinks thats helped him be more comfortable with getting the offense into other looks.Centering himself and recallibrating his nervous system was key over the past year, he emphasized. He feels like hes in a healthier place. Levis is trying to not lose sight of enjoying the game.Hes battling for reps with veteran backup Mitchell Trubisky, as well as 2023 third-round pick Hendon Hooker. I'm just trying to make the most of every opportunity that I get, he said. I can't control the reps that I get, and I'm trying to take this time to obviously work on myself but [also] bring along others with me. The reps I've taken before [were] with mainly the ones and twos, and I have the opportunity to work with guys that are really fighting for a roster position now and trying to bring them along and make as many opportunities for them as much as I'm making opportunities for me.So I'm not worried about the competition per se or the amount of opportunities that they're going to give me. I just got to make sure that I'm ready for when they are given to me and just preparing to be the best at that as possible.Its clear Levis has tried to look inward since his injury. His confident declaration that hes capable of starting in the NFL once more is going to turn heads and likely roll eyes. After all, Levis first go at that gig wasnt convincing.Perhaps hes better equipped to handle any subsequent criticism.I feel like I worked a lot for other people's approval in the beginning of my career, Levis said. Whereas I'm just trying to be the best version of me at this point. And I have more confidence than I've ever had because of that. I don't need to go out there and win X amount of games before I can feel the confidence. I have the confidence right now. I know I've put the tape out there already that I'm a dang good quarterback in this league, and I'm even better than I ever have been.

On Tuesday morning, Gianni Infantino was in an impregnable position as Fifa president, the most powerful job in football.Now, after trying to sells stakes in Fifa competitions to private investments firms - apparently without the knowledge of anyone else - Infantino's position appears to be under threat. Uefa - Infantino's fiercest critic - dealt its trump card on Thursday by threatening to boycott all Fifa competitions, including the World Cup.Now European football's governing body senses the opportunity to remove Infantino - and this is likely to be the best chance it will ever get.But they're far from the only unhappy federation. Concacaf, the confederation Infantino worked so closely with to organise the 2026 World Cup, has called for a "full review" into the leadership of Fifa in light of Infantino's plan. Even more damaging, loyal countries in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) shunned him too.Then he was abandoned by two of his closest allies - first senior adviser Carlos Cordeiro and then chief operating officer Kevin Lamour.After Infantino backtracked in the early hours of Saturday morning, Uefa delivered another devastating blow by issuing a strong statement saying it had lost confidence in him.The battles lines have been drawn. What could happen next?Uefa has 'lost confidence' in Infantino's Fifa leadershipFour reasons why Fifa's World Cup plan never stacked upInfantino on the brink? Who might replace him if he goes?How could Infantino be ousted?The quickest route for Infantino's exit would be for the Swiss to resign, like his predecessor Sepp Blatter did in 2015. But Infantino still retains support and he could try to hold out until March, when he is up for re-election for a fourth and final term as president. What other avenues are open?The Fifa Council could try to force Infantino's hand through an emergency meeting.Such a gathering would be triggered if 19 of the 37 Fifa Council members call for one.Uefa has nine members, AFC has seven, Concacaf five, Africa has six, Conmebol five and Oceania three. It is completed by Infantino and secretary general Mattias Grafstrom.BBC Sport understands there are some doubts that the 19 votes could be achieved. If they do get to 19, the meeting must take place within two weeks and the Fifa Council could call on Infantino to tender his resignation. But he could simply refuse to do so. It would, however, add further pressure.The next step would be an extraordinary congress of the 211 Fifa member associations, which would be held if one-fifth, or 43 associations, "make such a request in writing".So Uefa, which has 55 nations, can trigger the extraordinary congress whenever it so wishes.That would take a minimum of two months from the point it is triggered, but more likely three months, and there is no guarantee of success.In effect, it would be a de facto election without there being another candidate as 106 votes would be needed to pass the vote of no confidence. Uefa has 55, Africa 54, Asia 46, Concacaf 35, Oceania 11 and Conmebol 10.Africa, Conmebol and Oceania have not criticised Infantino's plan.So could Uefa get to 106? In total, 136 countries officially rejected the investment plan, but voting to reject an idea is not the same as voting to kick Infantino out.Of the 136, Qatar have already publicly backed him and Mexico have distanced themselves from the joint Concacaf statement. Which leaves finding a suitable candidate to fight the election in March.Infantino stood unopposed when he was re-elected in 2019 and 2023 and if someone wants to battle him for the position, the deadline to announce their candidacy is 18 November.The five dramatic days that shook Infantino and world footballWho could potentially replace Infantino?If Uefa and Infantino's biggest critics have to go down the election route, they will need to find a unifying leader.As Uefa has been so strong in its opposition to Infantino, a European candidate might struggle to get global support. After all, it might seem like it is trying to take over Fifa itself.So there must be a candidate who can attract the support of those countries in Concacaf, Africa and Asia who could have been loyal to Infantino but could be persuaded to switch their votes.The most likely candidate appears to be Concacaf president Victor Montagliani.Like Infantino, he was elected in 2016 promising governance reform. A former president of Canada Soccer, Montagliani was heavily involved in the build up to and delivery of the 2026 World Cup. He is fluent in French, Italian and Spanish, as well as English.Another option would be Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, the AFC president.Initially elected in 2013, he was re-elected unopposed for a fourth term to run to 2027.Sheikh Salman signed off the confederation's brutal takedown of how Fifa is being run by Infantino and has carried with him a 46-member confederation, many of whom are aware the figures being offered by Infantino's plan are huge in terms of their overall football expenditure.Less likely appears to be Paris St-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the Qatari who is also the chair of European Football Clubs.Al-Khelaifi helped bring European football back together after another seismic event that threatened to pull the game apart - the ill-fated European Super League.In theory, the Qatari would be a serious challenger to Infantino. But it seems he doesn't want the role. Qatar's support for Infantino could be an issue, too.How likely is it that Infantino is ousted?In any other business, Infantino would be unlikely to continue in his role. But football, of course, is not a normal business. Remember Sepp Blatter, who resigned in 2015 when he had no option left amid a corruption scandal. He had even been re-elected the week before.So will Infantino try to fight on?In his statement on Saturday, he said his intent "was to bring all interested parties back together in the coming days and weeks". For Infantino, contrition could make this all float away.Maybe it is working. Following on from Qatar, 2030 co-hosts Morocco backed him on Saturday evening. Then Egypt praised Infantino for cancelling his masterplan.Infantino may be thinking that if he can, day by day, get more member associations on board, the prospect of a vote of no confidence is less likely to be successful. After all, his support base has been so strong for so long you can understand why he might have such confidence. As a vote of no confidence is three months away, he has the chance to repair at least some of the damage.It is a race to 106 - and the more time elapses, the more chance Infantino can persuade his former allies this was just an aberration. For Uefa, the question is whether it can create a situation whereby Infantino is left with no option but to resign. For that to happen, the criticism from federations across the world must continue.But if there is one thing that could damage Infantino further, it would be for major sponsors to distance themselves from the organisation.During the 2015 Fifa scandal, Sony, Emirates, Castrol, Continental Tyres and Johnson & Johnson were among the companies to discontinue their huge sponsorship deals.There is no sign of this just yet but this is a saga with the potential to rumble on. They sent all the clips of us in it just so I could give the final OK.That review process is also why hes now walking back some of what did make it in.Apologies to the families with little kiddos because the language on there is actually not very suited for them, Mayfield said. I might be a little angry elf on the field every once in a while. So thats probably the part that I do regret a little bit, but thats the fire on the field, unfortunately, that comes out on TV.Mayfield was one of four quarterbacks profiled this season, joining Joe Flacco, Cam Ward and Jayden Daniels. Uros Medic impressed the boss.Saturday, Medic (14-3 MMA, 8-3 UFC) stopped veteran Daniel Rodriguez (20-6 MMA, 10-5 UFC) just 30 seconds into the first round in their main event bout at UFC Fight Night 282 in Belgrade, Serbia. It was Medic's first UFC main event, and he got to do so on home soil. UFC CEO Dana White was taken away by Medic's statement win."I don't know how you can win more impressively than you did," White told reporters at the UFC Fight Night 282 post-fight press conference. "The first shot pretty much knocked him out because the second one pretty much hit him on the chest, sort of a back head shot, and then some punches on the ground. He pretty much knocked him out with one punch."Medic is now on a four-fight winning streak, with all wins coming by KO in the first round. He's angling for a big fight following his first headliner. Medic called out former UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards and current title contender Carlos Prates. White was not only impressed with Medic's performance on Saturday, but also his overall body of work and what he's starting to become in the UFC's welterweight division."First of all, he has the most first-round KOs in the division's history.
