Could the NCAA be headed towards even more expanded playoffs? New UCLA Bruins head coach Bob Chesney doesnt sound opposed to more College Football Playoff expansion, speaking about the topic earlier this week at the Big Ten Conference Media Day.The CFP started with just four teams, giving programs virtually no margin for error to make the playoffs. Currently the format sits at 12 teams, giving the best a fair shot at reaching the playoffs, but even now theres still debate about the near misses that are left out of the playoffs.There have been discussions about expanding even farther, potentially to a 16 or 24 team format. The expansions would almost surely help the Bruins, who are still a program on the rise after an awful 2025 season. Chesney has already cracked the 12-team playoff format, reaching the CFP last year with James Madison out of the Sun Belt Conference.The thing I do think is just odd, when you go to the NBA 70% of the teams get into the playoffs, something like that, right? Chesney said, with the NBA now having 20 of 30 teams make the postseason thanks to the Play-In Tournament. The Tigers formally announced the trade that was reported late Saturday night.All the physicals were passed, all the paperwork finalized: Two-time Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal is now a Los Angeles Dodger.The Tigers have assigned the three players they got in return to three different levels of their system. "I've just been fortunate to get a few."It's not good fortune. It's talent.
