It's fantasy football draft season.What a glorious sentence. Training camps are underway in earnest, preseason kicks off this week and the season will be here before you can spell "Kyle Juszczyk" (which takes me about 25 business days on average). Whether you've been following the beats all summer or are just now tuning back in, one of your best tools for taking the temperature of the fantasy football community is Average Draft Position, or ADP.Join or create a Yahoo Fantasy Football league for the 2026 NFL seasonBut that ADP is subject to change quite a lot over the next month. So, as we hit the heart of mock drafts (and eventually real drafts) and these ADPs continue to shift, here are 10 players whose draft cost I'm watching closely.Jeremiyah Love, RB, Cardinals (ADP 26.9)The closer we get to September, the more ADP shifts away from the brainchild of degenerates and diehards like me and closer to the consensus of the average fantasy player. Oftentimes, that comes with a notable shift in perception on rookies. Running back Jeremiyah Love was drafted third overall out of Notre Dame and is the top rookie in fantasy ADP a potentially game-changing talent. But the Cardinals entered training camp with a lot of question marks on offense and have raised even more with recent comments about James Conner and Tyler Allgeier. Historically speaking, Love's draft capital suggests he will be a workhorse, but a long look at Arizona's roster raises some red flags about efficiency and scoring chances. The breakdown of snaps and touches will likely remain something of a mystery until Week 1 (or beyond), so fantasy drafters will have to work off conjecture for now.Cam Skattebo, RB, Giants (ADP 41.4)Second-year running back Cam Skattebo is undeniably polarizing. He was polarizing as an NFL draft prospect: many saw him as an early-round talent, but he fell to Day 3. He was polarizing as a rookie, when he quickly took over the Giants backfield, but played with concerning recklessness and suffered a season-ending leg injury. And he remains polarizing entering 2026, as drafters weigh his RB1 overall upside against an apparent disregard for his own health and wellness (e.g. the infamous backflip video).I cant even imagine John Harbaughs reaction to seeing this LOL pic.twitter.com/hCfiCvwCxV WyattzWorld (@WyattzWorId) July 18, 2026Ultimately, Skattebo is going to be the personification of a risk-reward investment, and it will be interesting to see how the fantasy community weighs the two sides of that scale. He's currently the RB18, going in the fourth round that will almost certainly be a steal if the man can stay healthy all season.Malik Nabers, WR, Giants (ADP 35.6)The only rational explanation for Malik Nabers' heavily-depressed ADP is concern over his recovery timeline. The fact that Nabers was not placed on the PUP list to start training camp, and is looking good in practice, should start to change that tune fairly quickly. He has been an absolute monster to start his career, drawing 205 targets through 19 games and finishing as the WR7 as a rookie with abysmal quarterback play. A full offseason with Jaxson Dart should translate to higher quality targets, and the departure of Wan'Dale Robinson could boost the quantity as well. In fact, I would not be surprised to see Nabers lead the NFL in that category in 2026. Nevertheless, he is less than a year off a torn ACL and currently sits at WR15 at the 3-4 turn. As reports continue to trickle in from training camp, I'll be watching for the corresponding shift in Nabers' ADP.Jaylen Waddle, WR, Broncos (ADP 45.4)When it comes to Jaylen Waddle's ADP, I feel like the scientists in Oppenheimer preparing to watch the Trinity test with welding glasses and sunscreen. I've been touting the new Broncos wide receiver as a major draft value and one of my 2026 "flag plants" all summer, as has Matt Harmon, who called Waddle "probably the most mispriced player in fantasy." I agree. He's an extremely talented receiver who profiles as the top volume option in a productive offense with a good quarterback. The growing hype has boosted him up to WR19 on Yahoo, but there's still room to rise as Denver head coach Sean Payton and fantasy analysts like myself continue to rave about his potential. I would not be shocked to see him climb from his current spot at the back of the fourth round closer to DeVonta Smith and Rashee Rice in the middle of the third.Tucker Kraft, TE, Packers (ADP 60.7)Very similar to Nabers above, Tucker Kraft is recovering from an ACL tear early in the 2025 season but had flashed the upside to be a top-tier fantasy asset when healthy. Specifically, through seven games last season (before his injury), Kraft was the overall TE1 in total fantasy points (98.2) and points per game (14.0). And also similar to Nabers, Kraft's ADP seems to reflect concerns over his recovery timeline, as he sits at the very end of the fifth round as the fifth tight end off the board. However, recent reports suggest Kraft is very much on track to play in the season opener. While most of the fantasy community gnashes their teeth over which wide receiver will lead the Green Bay passing attack ... I'm eyeballing the tight end who was doing so just last season. Time will tell whether Kraft can close the ADP gap with Tyler Warren (4-5 turn) and Colston Loveland (middle of the fourth).Bhayshul Tuten, RB, Jaguars (ADP 64.1)Of all the 250+ players worth considering in typical fantasy drafts, Bhayshul Tuten is the one that's hardest for me to pinpoint. He's currently going as the RB25 in the sixth round on Yahoo, but for some additional reference, he's going nearly a round later on ESPN and nearly a round earlier in FFPC leagues. Will he be the RB1 in Jacksonville? If he is, how much work will Chris Rodriguez Jr. command, particularly near the goal line? Will the Jaguars offense remain productive in 2026? Is Tuten even good?? There are myriad questions surrounding the former fourth-round pick and his situation, and it's making it very hard for fantasy drafters to determine his value. Perhaps more than any other name on this list, the pecking order in training camp and in the preseason could drastically sway Tuten's value heading into September.Marvin Harrison Jr., WR, Cardinals (ADP 79.4)If you haven't seen any of the discourse surrounding Marvin Harrison Jr. and his camp lowlights on social media ... it's been something. Apparent "yips" in practice have further exacerbated concerns over two (mostly) disappointing years from the much heralded prospect on top of the uninspiring quarterback situation and the unbelievable breakout of Michael Wilson late last season. Fantasy drafters seem to be cooling quite quickly on the former fourth overall pick, as he's all the way down at WR31 in the eighth round, between Carnell Tate and Alec Pierce. That said, given his prospect profile, Harrison should theoretically have fantasy WR1 upside, so I'm curious whether a rash of actual highlights, rave reviews from Mike LaFleur or Jacoby Brissett or really anything else can course correct Harrison's draft price before the season.Parker Washington, WR, Jaguars (ADP 93.9)I don't have an official tool for measuring hype in the fantasy community, but using pure intuition, Jaguars wide receiver Parker Washington is currently topping the charts. I've heard nothing but glowing reviews out of Duval and every single comment I've seen from the fantasy community has featured his upside and draft value. He's currently the WR39 in the ninth round in overall ADP, but the data from just the last week as I write this has him more than a round higher than that. We could realistically see that climb another round, two ... maybe three in the coming weeks. Buckle up (and buy low if you can).Brock Purdy, QB, 49ers (ADP 98.9)The big story in The Bay has been the endless parade of injuries to the receiving corps, most recently resulting in the end of Ricky Pearsall's season, a quad strain to Mike Evans, a calf strain to Christian Kirk and the somewhat desperate signing of Deebo Samuel Sr. to plug the leak. Most eyes are on the infamous electrical substation. My eyes are on Brock Purdy and his ADP, as the Niners QB has lost all three of his top wide receivers from last season (Jauan Jennings, Kendrick Bourne and Pearsall) and is currently down a slew of 2026 starters as well. Are Christian McCaffrey and George Kittle enough to carry Purdy and the passing game if the WRs are M.I.A? Maybe. But I do wonder whether the injury issues will start to affect Purdy and his fantasy outlook.Kyler Murray, QB, Vikings (ADP 109.5)Truthfully, Kyler Murray's inclusion in this article is one big raised eyebrow to Kevin O'Connell and the Vikings. When. Will. They. Decide. A. Starting. Quarterback?! When they do, if it's Murray, we should see his ADP absolutely skyrocket. If it's J.J. McCarthy, Murray will drop out of drafts entirely. Until then, he's sort of stuck in limbo, going as the QB16 around the 9-10 turn. Of course, there's no shortage of doubts in Murray's trustworthiness if fantasy even if he wins the job, considering his inconsistency the last few years in Arizona. I'm of the belief that in a KOC offense, with Justin Jefferson as his primary target and his uniquely electric rushing upside, Murray would be a QB1 as Minnesota's starter. But he probably has the widest range of outcomes of anyone at the position possibly anyone at any position in 2026 fantasy football, and his ADP journey could reflect that.

After wrapping up summer workouts with 11 players 10 of them new Seton Hall basketball coach Shaheen Holloway addressed the state of the team and the sport with reporters during a wide-ranging discussion Aug. 4. Here are five takeaways along with his comments. 1. The roster remains unfinishedTwo of the Pirates' springtime commitments never made it to campus: 6-foot-8 Rutgers transfer Chris Nwuli and 6-foot-9 Brazilian and G League forward Nathan Mariano.It was well known within Rutgers basketball circles that Nwulis mother, who lives in the Las Vegas area, has been battling cancer so hell likely stay in that area for the time being. Aggressive on both ends and embracing of defense, Nwuli seemed like a good fit for the Pirates and projected to contribute as a key part of the frontcourt rotation.Holloway left it this way: He has some personal issues he has to iron out and he wont be with us this year.Mariano, who saw time with Brazil's senior national team in FIBA Americup and FIBA World Cup qualifying competition and in the G League averaged 2.4 points and 2.5 rebounds while shooting 29.4 percent from the field and 23.1 percent from 3-point range, hasnt passed eligibility muster with the NCAA.I have no idea where thats at, Holloway said. The NCAA keeps asking for more information.Holloway also said the status of Mihailo Petrovic, a guard transfer from Illinois and a Serbia native, remain in flux because were waiting on his status with his Visa.As far as new additions, Holloway said, We have to guys right now on the cusp of whether were going to take them our now. Theyre power forwards and theyre from Europe.Addressing the power forward position in particular, he said, Well probably be playing Devin (Williams, a 6-foot-10 transfer) at the four some, but no matter what were looking to add them.With the NCAA locked in a court battle over last years senior class seeking an extra year of eligibility, Holloway was asked if its possible Stephon Payne, Josh Rivera or Elijah Fisher three key players on last years team who could potentially regain a season of eligibility will rejoin the program for the upcoming season.I dont know Im not ruling anything out because I have no idea whats going to happen, he said. Those guys played a big part in our season last year, Ive been in contact with two of them this summer, to see how theyre doing.Of the uncertainty surrounding the sport, he said, Its very tough. Each year Im bringing in eight, nine (new guys) and I dont know its that good for my health. You have no idea whats going on (rules-wise) it changes so much it changes every freaking week or month. For a coach the unknown is not very good, but you have to roll with the punches and adapt to it and keep believing in and what you do.2. On Seton Halls commitment levelAccording to various insider accounts Holloways roster budget was about $8 million at the start of last springs free-agency period, and eventually wound up a bit higher than that as the athletic department raised a couple of million through corporate partnerships.Concrete figures are difficult to come by, but various reports have the median Big East budget coming in somewhere between $12-15 million.Asked for his thoughts on Seton Halls commitment to the sport in the midst of this arms race for roster budgets, Holloway replied:You look across college basketball the way this thing is going, its pretty scary. The school, we did what we could do. Obviously we know who we are and kind of where we are. I thought the school put their best foot forward, tried.As a coach obviously you want more, and you need more. But like I said the school tried and put their best foot forward. But I look at what teams in our league are doing, and man weve got some ways to go. I dont want to sound like Im not appreciative of what the school did. Im definitely appreciative. I know where we are and I know where the other teams in our league are. Weve got to keep moving forward.At the outside of the conference call, it was made clear that Holloway would not discuss his reported contact extension the second of his tenure (his original deal was first extended after the NIT title in 2024). But the extension is its a clear substantiation of Holloways point we know who we are because in the past, a Seton Hall coach who entered year five without an NCAA Tournament appearance would have been on a hot seat.By the start of year six, both P.J. Carlesimos and Kevin Willards seats were white-hot because neither had made the Big Dance. No matter what happens this season, Holloway wont face that kind of situation because the variables have changed and Seton Hall has moved the goalposts to reflect that, understandably.3. The backcourt is a work in progressHolloway made it clear that when putting this roster together, I didnt want just one point guard dominating and so he brought in several players to compete at the position, and it seems like he envisions shared duties at that crucial sport a stark contrast to the ball dominance by Kadary Richmond and Budd Clark in his two most successful seasons in South Orange (and more like the situation he had at Saint Peters).He praised Texas transfer and former Roselle Catholic standout Simeon Wilcher, who projects as more of a two guard, as someone who can be (Big East) Defensive Player of the Year with his size and length, adding, He has all the tools to be a good lock-down defender along with good defensive player.Holloway did say hes emphasizing more paint touches with his guards this season, in terms of getting the ball inside and perhaps playing inside-out as more a steady diet. He also praised freshman guard Darien Payday Moore as holding his own and showing signs of being ready to contribute right away.4. A shift in practice philosophy?Holloway is known for his long, demanding practices and the high level of physicality in them. But in a move that may signal a new approach, he called off the dogs late in the summer session after Williams suffered a strained calf and some other injuries cropped up.I think Im getting smarter as I getting older first time in my coaching career I shut down practice early, he said. Because toward the last week of practice guys started dropping with ankle injuries and stuff like that.Holloway also said former four-year walk-on guard David Gabriel, a fan and locker-room favorite, will remain with the program as a graduate assistant.5. What happened at the end of last seasonAfter winning 21 games an finishing fourth in the Big East, Holloway made it clear that he wanted the Pirates to accept their invitation to the College Basketball Crown in Las Vegas, but he allowed the players to decide (as he did with the NIT in 2024) and he gritted his teeth and abided by their choice.I was looking forward to it (the Crown) for a couple of reasons, he said. One, for our seniors. Two, because these guys love money so much, they had an opportunity to win some money; like everybody theyre in love with money so much. And three, these guys had an opportunity to play and showcase their talent on a different platform against different opponents. So I was disappointed in that, that the guys chose not to play.I didnt want to make them play because I did that my first year here in the NIT (in 2023) and we went out and didnt play well. But I want it to be on record that I was disappointed that he guys didnt want to play. I almost made them play, and then guys started saying they were hurt, so that was disappointing.Asked all of his undergrads transferring out except backup point guard Trey Parker and in particular losing All-Big East point guard Budd Clark and rising star center Najai Hines Holloway seemed at peace with it.I thought some guys were coming back, he said. We had some good conversations with guys and had a good package for a couple guys, and guys told me they were going to come back, and at the end of day they had to choose whats best for them. But its art of the game right now.I tell people all the time, fall in love with the name on the front of the jersey, not the back. The front is not going anywhere.Apparently this was a big topic of discussion at the programs recent golf-outing fundraiser.A lot of our donors dont like where its at, and I dont blame them, he said, referring to the state of the sport.
