SPORTS.YAHOO.COMNever Seen An Athlete Get Blitzed Harder Than Jayden Daniels Fans React As Mets Troll Commanders QB After 4-1 Win Vs NationalsMets vs Nationals | ImagnThe New York Mets wasted no time taking a jab at Washington Commanders QB Jayden Daniels after securing a 4-1 win in the series opener against the Nationals at Citi Field on Friday night. The jab came amid the ongoing discussion about Daniels cease-and-desist letter to his alma mater, LSU, over sophomore cornerback DJ Pickett wearing his No. 5 Tigers jersey.Daniels wore the famed jersey for two seasons with the Tigers football team and, in 2023, became only the third Heisman Trophy recipient in the programs history, further cementing his name and jersey number among the programs greats.Watch the hilarious Mets post here:Fans were quick to share their reactions to the post on social media.Ive never seen an athlete get blitzed harder than Jayden Daniels one fan commented.Daniels was the second overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. He earned a Pro Bowl nod in his rookie season and also won the Offensive Rookie of the Year honor. However, LSU has not officially retired the jersey, and the number was worn by an active player for the first time since Daniels last wore it in the 2023 campaign.Back on the diamond, New York won the series opener on the back end of solo home runs from Francisco Lindor and Jared Young, alongside RBIs from Bo Bichette and Carson Benge. Furthermore, it was a bullpen game for the home side, and all five pitchers put in an amazing effort from the mound to seal the win.Despite the Win, the Mets Continue to Struggle in 2026Despite being 7-3 in their last ten games, New York is having a disappointing campaign at both ends of the field. Currently, they sit at the bottom of the NL East with a 54-69 record, 15 games short of the .500 mark and a whopping 19.5 games behind divisional leaders, the Atlanta Braves. The ball club appears to be in no position to secure a playoff berth this season, and disappointed fans have begun looking ahead to next season in hopes of a major turnaround from the ongoing slump. After the three-game series against the Nationals, the Mets will conclude their six-game homestand by hosting the Padres starting Monday. Also read:Seriously What Are We Doing? SPORTS.YAHOO.COMMike Evans Fantasy Outlook 2026: Name Is Worth More Than His Projected Role in San FranciscoMike Evans' Fantasy Outlook 2026: Name Is Worth More Than His Projected Role in San FranciscoMike Evans has 108 career touchdowns on his NFL resume, but not a single one of them will help fantasy football managers in 2026. The veteran receiver was more injured last season than at any point in his career, and a new team opens up questions about his role. What should you make of his current asking price given the number of moving pieces within his profile?Should You Draft Mike Evans in Fantasy Football?Evans best football is behind him. That much is clear as he prepares to enter his age-33 season with 12 DNPs on his resume over the past two seasonsafter missing a total of just three contests in the four seasons prior. He saw a 38.8% dip in PPR fantasy production per target a year ago, enduring a season that featured just one game with more than 60 receiving yards (and five in which he checked in under 35). That said, we recently saw a similar profile provide league-winning value from Davante Adams in Los Angeles, so a bounce-back is at least within Evans range of outcomes in 2026.START PREPARING:PFNs Fantasy Mock Draft SimulatorFor his career, 34% of his fantasy points have come via touchdowns, and prior to last season, he had cleared 10 scores in four of his last five campaigns. We arent far removed from Evans possessing a massive upside, and he now joins an efficient offense led by Brock Purdy and orchestrated by an elite offensive mind in Kyle Shanahan. At his current cost, Evans appears destined to swing leagues: either hes far too expensive and sinks your chances, or he becomes the 2025 version of Davante Adams, easily outperforming the ADP discount created by last years struggles.I lean toward the former. This San Francisco offense funnels through Christian McCaffrey in a major way, and when George Kittle is at full strength, its hard to envision a third option seeing enough volume to be a locked-in, weekly starter. There are upside WRs in this ADP range who simply grade out better with their ceiling-to-floor profiles. Carnell Tate and Jordyn Tyson are relatively unproven at the professional level, but given the draft capital spent on them, its easy to see them earning bulk opportunities sooner rather than later. In the NFC North, Christian Watson and Rome Odunze saw teammates leave this offseason, freeing up their explosive skill sets for more targets.Ultimately, the WR pool is deep. With the right roster construction, you could responsibly roll the dice on Evans namely by prioritizing volume in the second half of your draft. Personally, I prefer a bit more stability when picking in the first handful of rounds. As a result, I will be coming in light on Evans from a ranking and projection standpoint for this season and beyond.MORE: 2026 Controversial Fantasy Football Running Back Depth Charts: Who To Draft In These Confusing RoomsYou can see if the draft capital makes sense for you when it comes to Evans by hopping into our FREE Mock Draft Simulator. Practicing gives you a feel for the cost of doing business and your ability to build around it should you opt to go in that direction.Evans Dynasty Fantasy Football ValueThe Niners elected to give Evans a three-year deal this offseason. While I tend to trust NFL franchises more than fantasy ones, if youre rostering him, you are taking things on a year-to-year basis without much hope of him remaining a reliable asset as his time in San Francisco winds down.TRADE NOW:PFNs Dynasty Trade CalculatorThe combination of recent health issues and a skill set that might not age gracefully has me largely fading the future Hall of Famer. I understand if a win-now dynasty manager views this short-term investment as interesting. However, with a brutal finishing kick to the schedule (Rams, Chargers, Chiefs, and Eagles to round out the 2026 fantasy season), Im not confident he will be a dependable asset down the stretch this seasonnever mind future ones. This article originally appeared on Pro Football Network.0 Comments 0 Shares 106 Views 0 Reviews -
SPORTS.YAHOO.COMJameson Williams Fantasy Outlook 2026: Gives Fantasy Football Managers Upside, But The Floor Remains ConcerningJameson Williams Fantasy Outlook 2026: Gives Fantasy Football Managers Upside, But The Floor Remains ConcerningThrough four NFL seasons, Jameson Williams has been something of a polarizing option in fantasy football. The upside is no secret (his average touchdown catch has gone for 30 yards across his professional career), and the season-end numbers have been similar in two consecutive years, but is there room for him to level up as he prepares for his age-25 season?Should You Draft Jameson Williams in Fantasy Football?Williams Redraft Fantasy Football ValueWilliams had four games with 100+ yards in 2025, and there are moments every month where he looks inevitable. The combination of size and speed is tough for defenses to deal with, never mind when they have to worry about two other elite options attached to this Lions offense. But its not that simple.Sprinkled in between those big games are air balls. He was held under 10 receiving yards twice in October last season, and after three straight big games in the middle of the season, promptly produced a 0-catch performance against the Giants.START PREPARING:PFNs Fantasy Mock Draft SimulatorIts very much a give-and-take situation with Williams. If youre going to draft him as a low-end WR2 or high-end WR3, you cant have commitment issues. In spending that level of draft capital, youre locking him into your lineup weekly, for better or worse.Trying to get cute with the matchups is a dangerous game to play you would have still played him for that dud against the Giants, and you likely would have benched him against a stingy Rams team that he torched for 134 yards and a touchdown late in the season. So, if youre in, you have to be all the way in.Last season, he became the first player since Vincent Jackson (200809) to post consecutive years with at least 1,000 receiving yards and 7 TD receptions while recording under 70 receptions. That may be an ultra-niche stat, but hes a niche player, so it shouldnt be surprising that hes doing things we rarely see.Jackson was the WR16 over a three-year run (201113) once he got comfortable in his NFL role, and I think there is potential for Williams to see a ceiling in that neighborhood. Hes averaged at least three PPR points per reception in all three years in which hes been featured in this offense, including in 2025 after Ben Johnson took his talents to Chicago.Johnsons departure may not have affected the raw numbers or efficiency metrics, but his role was certainly less stable. Those are the types of stats I need to see turn around before making Williams a realistic target for me. Amon-Ra St. Brown (106+ catches in four straight seasons and double-digit touchdowns in each of the past three) isnt going anywhere, and that worries me when it comes to Williams ability to carve out enough of a floor niche to make fantasy managers comfortable.Hes scored 15+ PPR points in 28% of his career games, and I dont mind the monthly spike game. The peaks are great if hes in your lineup, but the only way to ensure that is if he develops in the target-earning department.MORE: 2026 Controversial Fantasy Football Running Back Depth Charts: Who To Draft In These Confusing RoomsIts not all doom and gloom, though. His vertical presence is bordering on elite, and we have seen Detroit give him some route-running balance, which gives him the potential to unlock the best version of himself.First two seasons: 16.5 aDOTLast two seasons: 12.2 aDOTI dont love schedule analysis too far ahead of time you never know what version of these defenses will actually show up come game day but we can predict Mother Nature with a higher level of confidence, and the weather seems likely to again work in the favor of this explosive offense. For our purposes, the Lions lose their game in Lambeau this season (Week 18), and the games away from Detroit arent exactly concerning from a playing-conditions standpoint, outside of a Week 17 matchup against the Bears.Sept. 17: at BuffaloOct. 4: at CarolinaOct. 11: at ArizonaNov. 8: at MiamiNov. 15: vs. New England (Munich)Dec. 6: at AtlantaDec. 20: at MinnesotaJan. 3: at ChicagoI think Williams will be in 2026 what he has been to date. Theres nothing wrong with that, and it lands him in my top 30 in terms of season-long rankings, but drafting him does require you to fill out your roster in a specific way.As long as you go in with a plan, this is a player who can be a part of a very successful 2026 season for you!Williams Dynasty Fantasy Football ValueThis is Williams age-25 season, meaning he is just beginning to enter his prime. His best football is ahead of him, and dynasty managers should find comfort in that, but where exactly is the room for role growth?St. Brown and Sam LaPorta are reliable threats in their respective roles, and Jahmyr Gibbs projects to be one of the best running backs for the foreseeable future. The Cowboys made a quartet of weapons work last season (CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, Jake Ferguson, and Javonte Williams), but we did see weekly variance in that situation, even with a positive runout.I think thats kind of what we are looking at. Williams best season is in the future, and it could come as soon as 2026. Thats well within the range of outcomes, but he doesnt seem like a good bet to ever be the lineup-lock type that you assign a high floor to.TRADE NOW:PFNs Dynasty Trade CalculatorWilliams is a situational buy for me. If you have stability on your roster, regardless of whether youre in a win-now or win-later situation, this is a solid player to roster. Im not in the business of betting on him to single-handedly level up my roster, though Id happily take him as a piece of the puzzle. That makes him a low-end WR2 in dynasty/keeper formats for me. I put him in the same bucket as Rome Odunze and Jordyn Tyson: talented options with locked-in QBs who I dont believe have a real path to the top of their respective WR depth charts. Theres nothing wrong with filling that role on your roster the only mistake is thinking that you have something more than you realistically do.If youre looking to get a feel for his value, our FREE Fantasy Football Trade Analyzer is the place to go!This article originally appeared on Pro Football Network.0 Comments 0 Shares 117 Views 0 Reviews -
SPORTS.YAHOO.COMNico Collins Fantasy Outlook 2026: Could Be The Rare Expensive Fantasy Football League Winner in 2026Dec 14, 2025; Houston, Texas, USA; Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins (12) runs for a gain past Arizona Cardinals safety Budda Baker (3) during the first quarter at NRG Stadium. Troy Taormina-Imagn ImagesIts often said that fantasy football championships arent won earlyonly lost. For the most part, I agree with that logic. If your anchors deliver standard star-level production, your team simply lands right where expected. It is naturally difficult for those elite options to punch above their weight in a way that truly breaks a league. But Nico Collins could be the ultimate exception in 2026.Should You Draft Nico Collins in Fantasy Football?Collins Redraft Fantasy Football ValueEntering his age-27 season, Collins is an unquestioned WR1 at the NFL level. He has cleared 1,000 receiving yards in each of the past three seasons, hauling in 21 touchdowns over that stretch despite missing nine games along the way.Put simply: he is elite. While that might seem obvious, establishing his baseline efficiency is a necessary first step before diving into his massive ceiling case.PPR Points Over Expectation: 1stTargets Per Route Run: 2ndRed Zone Target Rate: 4thThese rankings isolate wide receivers with at least 250 targets over the past three seasons. Within that elite sample, Collins is the only player to average at least 12.0 air yards per target and 5.0 yards after the catch (YAC) per reception. To pull up a chair at the absolute top tier of the position, a receiver must be a complete, well-rounded threat capable of producing at every level of the field. Collins checks every single box.His late second-round ADP is slightly depressed by a history of minor injuries and lingering concerns over C.J. Strouds ultimate ceiling. Personally, I am far more willing to gamble on injury risk at the end of Round 2 than I am with a Round 1 option like Christian McCaffrey. But are those Stroud concerns even fair?C.J. Stroud when throwing past the sticks:2024: 75.6 passer rating2025: 95.5 passer ratingStroud was so spectacular as a rookie that the public set an unsustainably high bar for his encore. While he might not be a generational game-breaker just yet, look at the landscape: Sam Darnold, Michael Penix Jr./Kirk Cousins, and Tyler Shough all supported top-10 fantasy wide receivers in 2025.Stroud doesnt need to be Patrick Mahomes to sustain Collins, especially since Collins wont be starved for targets. I like Tank Dell more than most, but he isnt built to be a true volume hog. While second-year options like Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel will likely take a step forward, their growth wont threaten Collins alpha status.Consider the environment Collins just succeeded in: the 2025 Texans had a highly flawed offensive profile. They struggled heavily on the ground (29th in yards per carry) and rarely extended drives into scoring territory (18th in red zone trips). Despite those massive roadblocks, Collins was the overall WR8 from Weeks 315.He is being drafted right around that baseline floor this season, often slipping to the back half of the second round. If you open your draft with a Tier 1 running back, pairing them with an elite weapon like Collins in Round 2 feels like highway robbery. Also Read: Fantasy Football Draft Strategy: How to Win Your League After Selecting Bijan Robinson First OverallCollins Dynasty Fantasy Football ValueWe can debate where Collins ranks in terms of pure, vacuum-sealed talent, but context is king in dynasty formats. Our business is securing raw production, and fantasy scoring is often a direct product of a players structural environment.Puka Nacua might boast a slightly higher talent grade, but what does his quarterback situation look like beyond 2026? The same question applies to Drake London. And while Tyler Shough put together an encouraging season, no one is picking him over Stroud as a long-term passing anchor. The point isnt that Collins is the definitive WR1 overall; its that he belongs firmly in that tier, making him noticeably undervalued in the current market. This is an All-World talent whose prime aligns perfectly with a young quarterback on the right side of the age curve. Wide receivers are the lifeblood of sustained dynasty success, and you are unlikely to find a lower buy-in window for an elite asset like Collins from here on out.Dynasty football rewards the intersection of skill and timing. Collins brings the elite skill, and right now, the market is handing you the perfect timing window.Go execute. If you are ready to make a move for Houstons alpha, our FREE Trade Analyzer can help you construct a deal that your league mates cant turn down. This article originally appeared on Pro Football Network.0 Comments 0 Shares 156 Views 0 Reviews -
SPORTS.YAHOO.COMBrowns offense might require patience this year, and that is okayCleveland Browns head coach Todd Monken takes notes during team OTAs at CrossCountry Mortgage Campus of the Cleveland Browns in Berea, Ohio on June 2, 2026. | USA TODAY Network via Reuters CoPeople often express patience when it comes to certain things, but struggle when they have to experience it. Its not uncommon to have to wait for certain things, whether its a new job or waiting to buy something that you have wanted to buy. Having patience is an underrated skill. It might take a while to get the object you want, but it will be worth the wait once the opportunity is right. The Cleveland Browns are entering Year 2 of a rebuild. Rebuilds take time, but eventually it pays off when/if everything falls into place. From the offensive side, the Browns are rebuilding on that side of the ball, including a new offensive scheme, system, and voice. Young, exciting pieces, but with uncertainty at the quarterback position. Offensively, Cleveland has been a below-average unit for the past two seasons but most of the fanbase believes the offense will be better under new head coach Todd Monken. The new head coach, who has facilitated top-tier offenses during his tenure with the Baltimore Ravens and during his time for the Georgia Bulldogs football team, has a good understanding of how to build a top offense. For those expecting instant results from this offense immediately, dont. As a whole, the entire fanbase has been frustrated with the Browns offense for the past two seasons but at least the offense this year has talent which is something the unit hasnt had recently. Despite the influx of talent, learning a new offense takes time. Its not uncommon for a new offense to have inconsistent days. It takes time for a unit to gel collectively because its a ton of moving parts. The quarterback competition will be decided eventually, the offensive line will gain chemistry with more reps, and the skill position groups will get better with every rep. The offense will look rough to start the season, but the unit will improve gradually over time as everyone will get acclimated to the scheme. It might seem like a hard ask for this fanbase to endure, but its necessary that patience is necessary for this seasons offense. How patient do you think you can be with the Browns offense this year?
