He put the Georgia Bulldogs at the No. 6 spot, just shy of the top five.The Bulldogs are the highest-ranked team in his top 25, ahead of Texas (No. 7), LSU (No. 8) and Oklahoma (No. 9). However, he still didn't put them in the top five. "Georgia's still the class of the SEC," said Klatt. "The roster is great. Kirby Smart is a great coach. You can't kill Georgia, either, because quarterback Gunner Stockton is a gamer who is tough as nails and absolutely tough as nails. He's an elite fourth quarter quarterback."But here's the problem: Georgia hasn't played at the same level as the teams in the top five. Can Georgia score at the level that some of the top teams in the nation can? I'm not sure."The Oregon Ducks come in at No. 1, despite the fact that they haven't reached a national championship in the extended College Football Playoff era (2024-). He points to the Ducks' roster as a reason for his thinking. "Every team in the country has a question on their roster, except for Oregon," said Klatt. The Denver Broncos will need to make important decisions on personal seat licenses (PSLs) and quarterback Bo Nix's contract down the road, but neither topic is a current priority. "Really, its the furthest thing from our minds right now," Broncos owner Greg Penner said when asked about PSLs while speaking to reporters at training camp last week. PSLs are a one-time fee that fans pay for the right to buy season tickets, a tactic employed by many NFL teams to help fund building new stadiums. The Broncos have not yet made a decision on PSLs, but season ticket holders will be updated when they do. "[W]e havent even gotten to PSLs yet," Penner said. "Our season ticket holders are vital to our organization and were going to keep them informed every step of the way once we get there.Another important upcoming decision is Nix's contract. The 26-year-old quarterback will be eligible for a contract extension in 2027 after he's played three seasons in the NFL. "Obviously, we want Bo here long-term, but were really focused on getting ready for this season, putting a competitive team on the field," Pener said. "Ill leave that to George [Paton] and Sean [Payton]; will have conversations about it, but Ill leave that up to them to lead. Nix is currently signed through the 2027 season, and his rookie deal includesa fifth-year optionfor the 2028 campaign. So there's not a huge rush given that the QB isn't even eligible for an extension before the 2026 season wraps up. Both topics will return after the current season ends. The Broncos hope to break ground on a new stadium in 2027, and Nix will be eligible for a new deal in March. For now, though, the club is focused on the current season. To make room for Junis on the active roster, the Rangers designated pitcher Marco Gonzales for assignment, putting the Rangers 40 man roster at 39 players.Junis, who has been the Rangers primary setup man this year, had last pitched on July 28 before going on the i.l. with an adductor strain. He had also missed the first half of July due to an i.l. stint for a hip impingement. Junis has a 2.63 ERA and 2.99 FIP in 41 innings this year, and given the Rangers shaky bullpen situation, him staying healthy and effective the rest of the way will be important for the Rangers hopes of staying in the playoff hunt.Gonzales had come up in the second half of July to give the Rangers someone who could provide lengthy out of the bullpen. He made two appearances before being designated for assignment, clearing waivers, becoming a free agent, and then re-signing with the Rangers on a minor league deal.
