NFL free agents: Top 5 tight ends include some good young talent and also productive veterans
Teams shifted their offensive strategy to use more multiple tight end sets last season, which means theres more of a demand at the position. Thats good news for a deep group of free agent tight ends. There are plenty of productive veterans and players coming off their rookie deals and still in their prime available for teams to look over. Travis Kelce could have gotten into the top five, but it seems inevitable that he will either be back with the Chiefs or retire. Even if hes not a realistic option, plenty of others are. Here are the top five tight ends available in free agency: 1. Kyle Pitts Sr. Pitts is inconsistent, but he is the best tight end who was slated to hit free agency. That doesnt matter much because the Falcons put the franchise tag on him, and it is very unlikely that any team will give him an offer sheet. If Pitts plays on the tag, its a chance for the Falcons to see if he can put two good seasons in a row together. 2. Isaiah LikelyLikely has flashed in a backup role for the Ravens, which has led some to believe he could do much more if he could escape Mark Andrews shadow. Well see if an NFL team feels the same. He is only 25 years old, so he should have a few prime years ahead of him. Its time to see if he blows up in a full-time role. Dallas GoedertGoedert was consistently productive for the Eagles, even with many other offensive stars around him to demand touches. Goedert had 11 touchdowns last season, which showed hes not slowing down yet as he enters his age-31 season. Goedert seems to be a very safe, reliable option for a team that is looking for a effective starter. [Join or create a Yahoo Fantasy Baseball league for the 2026 MLB season]4. David NjokuNjoku was pushed out by the Browns due to the emergence of 2025 rookie Harold Fannin Jr., but hes an athletic player who has been productive in the past, topping out at 882 yards in 2023. He will be 30 years old next season and has plenty left to offer to a new team. 5. Chigoziem OkonkwoIt seems like there is another level for Okonkwo that he hasnt reached yet. But he has been between 450 and 560 yards in each of his four NFL seasons for the Titans, and has shown athletic ability that hints at more. He will turn 27 years old in September and if the Titans cant sign him to an extension, hed be a good signing for a team that is looking for a player who can break out.

Premier League's biggest time-wasters revealed after Arsenal took 30 minutes restarting play in Brighton win
Arsenal secured a crucial 1-0 triumph against Brighton on Wednesday evening, with Bukayo Saka netting the decisive goal during his landmark 300th appearance for the club. However, the manner of victory sparked significant controversy at the Amex Stadium.Analysis has revealed that Mikel Arteta's side consumed an extraordinary 30 minutes and 51 seconds simply restarting play throughout the match. This staggering figure was accumulated across three corners, 14 free-kicks and 24 throw-ins as the Gunners clung to their narrow advantage.Remarkably, this marked the second occasion this season where Arsenal have exceeded the half-hour mark for restarts, having previously done so during their 1-0 victory at Fulham in October.TRENDINGStoriesVideosYour SayThe north London club have also accumulated a league-high two hours and seven minutes waiting to take corners this campaign.Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler launched a fierce verbal assault on Arsenal's approach following the final whistle."There was only one team that tried to play football tonight," Hurzeler declared. "I ask one question: did you ever see a Premier League game where a goalkeeper goes down three times?"The 32-year-old insisted he would never adopt such methods himself, stating: "I will never be the kind of manager who tries to win it that way."Hurzeler also demanded intervention from football authorities, arguing: "The Premier League has to make clearer rules, needs a limit, for time wasting, because they have to protect the referees."He added that Arsenal were effectively operating under their own regulations, suggesting officials were permitting behaviour that frustrated opponents and spectators alike.Arteta's response to the criticism was characteristically dismissive: "What a surprise."Despite the furore surrounding Arsenal's tactics at Brighton, statistical analysis reveals they are not actually the Premier League's worst offenders for delaying restarts.LATEST SPORTS NEWS:Winter Olympics athlete reveals health issue after he admitted to cheating on his girlfriendEmma Raducanu takes aim at former coaches as she explains fall from grace since spectacular US Open triumphLewis Hamilton demands Africa 'take back' land from Britain as start of new F1 season loomsSunderland occupy the top spot in the time-wasting rankings, averaging 33.1 seconds per stoppage.Brentford sit second with an average of 32.3 seconds, whilst Crystal Palace follow at 31.2 seconds per restart.Newcastle United take 30.8 seconds on average, with Leeds also ahead of Arsenal at 30.4 seconds. The Gunners rank sixth overall, spending an average of 30.2 seconds each time play is halted.Burnley, Aston Villa, Tottenham, Chelsea and West Ham all feature just below Arteta's side in the standings.Brighton themselves rank second from bottom, averaging just 26.5 seconds on restarts throughout the current campaign.Liverpool emerge as the Premier League's most efficient side when it comes to restarting play, averaging merely 25.8 seconds per stoppage this term. The reigning champions sit at the opposite end of the spectrum from the league's most persistent time-wasters.Wednesday's result proved significant in the title race, with Arsenal extending their advantage at the summit to seven points.Manchester City's 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest on the same evening allowed the Gunners to pull further clear.Arteta's squad remain in contention across four competitions, maintaining their pursuit of Champions League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup honours alongside their domestic league ambitions. The north London outfit are desperate to secure their first top-flight championship since 2004, ending a drought spanning more than two decades. Our Standards: The GB News Editorial Charter
