Masters fans left shocked by price of a pint amid battle for supremacy at Augusta
Golf fans can't quite believe what they're seeing at this week's Masters Tournament, where a pint at Augusta National will set you back just $6 that's roughly 4.46.A receipt doing the rounds on social media shows two Crows Nest craft beers, brewed exclusively for the prestigious event and served in special green commemorative cups, came to a grand total of $13.02 including tax. It's brilliant news for the 40,000 spectators expected through the gates each day.One stunned fan summed it up perfectly online: "A beer at the Masters is cheaper than a water at most NFL stadiums."Others called the pricing "amazing" and praised Augusta as "a place like no other."Turns out the food is just as wallet-friendly as the drinks.Augusta National offers 27 different items this year, and here's the kicker not a single one costs more than $6.If you fancied buying absolutely everything on the menu, you'd spend just $78.75, which works out at around 58.55.Fans on social media have been loving it.One wrote: "Augusta is the only venue in sports where the concession pricing is part of the brand. $78.75 for everything on the menu is a flex that every other stadium should study. They proved you can protect the fan experience and still print money."Another simply demanded: "Hey @MLB teams - just give us Masters-priced beer and concessions."The famous Augusta sandwiches remain wonderfully cheap you can grab an egg salad or pimento cheese for just $1.50 each, while the Masters Club sandwich is only $3.New for 2026, there's a Masters candy bar on offer at $2.25.Former Augusta National chairman Billy Payne once explained why keeping prices low matters so much to the club."We want the experience to not only be the best but to be affordable," he said. "And we take certain things very, very seriously. Like the cost of a pimento cheese sandwich is just as important as how high the second cut (of grass) is going to be."Our Standards: The GB News Editorial Charter
