Ohtani didn't throw the baseball poorly, but he didn't feel as well as he was hoping to.I just wasnt comfortable throwing, he said. The condition of his arm isn't anything to be worried about just yet, he just didn't feel great throwing the baseball. My performance wasnt good. However, I was able to effectively handle my assigned innings and pitch count, Ohtani added. The condition of my arm isnt bad. It just didn't feel right when I was throwing. It's not very uncommon for things like this to happen around Major League Baseball. There are going to be days when pitchers just don't have it going, and this was unfortunately one of them for Ohtani. Still, the all-time great was able to limit damage, only allowing four hits and no runs on the mound in that outing. It was at the end of a road trip and closer to a day game, so in that sense, I think everyone had some fatigue, Ohtani said. I dont know if that was the reason, but I wasnt comfortable throwing.More MLB news:Red Sox urged to sign Yankees pitcher who was recently cut, and the idea could haunt New YorkMets actually helped Yankees due to stealing top target from Red Sox during offseasonRed Sox blasted for making Alex Bregman decision that has clearly been a mistakeJuan Sotos Mets injury allowing New York to keep playing youngster who has struggled a tonBraves should move on from Ozzie Albies to land top-10 pitcher in baseballBlue Jays could make another trade for ace after Shane Bieber news
