Seahawks named landing spot for AFC offensive star with 1,350 yards and 8 TDs
Seahawks named landing spot for AFC offensive star with 1,350 yards and 8 TDs originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here. The Seattle Seahawks leaned heavily on their run game in 2025 and it paid off in a big way.The duo of Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet helped the Seahawks finish with the No. 10 rushing offense in the NFL averaging 123.3 yard per game. Charbonnet went down in the divisional round of the playoffs with a torn ACL, but Walker picked up the load, ultimately winning Super Bowl MVP.While Charbonnet had a solid season as the No. 2 running back in Seattle with 730 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns, Walker was the biggest threat out of the backfield and thrived as both a runner and pass-catcher in 2025.In the regular season, Walker finished with 1,032 rushing yards and five touchdowns while adding another 282 yards as a receiver. After the Super Bowl victory, the Seahawks made the decision to let Walker hit free agency and he quickly reached a deal with the Kansas City Chiefs.Charbonnet likely wont be ready to start the 2026 NFL season as he continues to rehab from injury, and suddenly the Seahawks have a massive void on their offense.Bleacher Reports Moe Moton recently challenged Dolphins GM Jon-Eric Sullivans claim that Miami wont trade star running back DeVon Achane. We heard a similar sentiment about Jaylen Waddle, who was traded to the Denver Broncos, Moton wrote. He went on to list the Seattle Seahawks as a potential landing spot for Achane in a trade. The Seahawks only have four 2026 draft picks, though they still have three top-100 selections. Considering the club's$32.9 million in cap space, it has the resources to acquire De'Von Achane and sign him to a lucrative extension.Achane can match Walker's production on the ground and bring more to the passing game.In four seasons, Walker has caught 133 passes for 1,005 yards and two touchdowns. Achane hauled in 145 passes for 1,080 yards and 10 touchdowns over the last two years. With Achane in the backfield, Seattle wouldn't need to rush Charbonnet back to action. Sharing the field together, they could lead a top-five rushing attack. This would obviously be a massive move for the Seahawks, so it will be interesting to see if the Dolphins stick to their guns or end up putting Achane on the trade block.More Seahawks news:Rashid Shaheed for $51 million might be an overpay for the SeahawksCooper Kupp is the Seahawks' most overpaid playerSeahawks match Jaguars' offer sheet to bring Jake Bobo back to Seattle
