Boston Marathon Live Tracker: Wheelchair winners crowned
The 2026 Boston Marathon is here. This year, the race will have 30,000 runners begin their journey from Hopkinton, up Heartbreak Hill and to the finish line on Boylston Street.Wheelchair athletes will get things started at 9:06 a.m. followed by handcycles and duos, professionals, and para-athletes. He finished last years race in 2:04:45.11:20 a.m. The womens professional runners have nine miles left.11:16 a.m. USAs Annie Frisbie now leads the women 90 minutes into their heat. Kodi Kleven is close behind, as is Kenyas Mary Ngugi-Cooper.11:10 a.m. Ninety minutes of running and Milkesa Mengesha continues to pace the mens professional runners. Hes 20 miles in with 6.2 to go.11:01 a.m. Wave 5 is off!10:56 a.m. Over an hour into the mens professional race, Milkesa Mengesha from Ethiopia has a nice lead as he passes Woodland Gold Club in Newton.10:55 a.m. The women are heading into Mile 12 and are approaching the halfway mark. 10:52 a.m. Just over an hour into the womens professional wave and Kodi Kleven remains at the front. Dakotah Popehn and Sara Hall are close behind.10:41 a.m. Wave 4 has started!10:40 a.m. WOMENS WHEELCHAIR WINNER! Eden Rainbow-Cooper is the womens wheelchair winner with a time of 1:30:51.Rainbow-Cooper won the event in 2024.10:28 a.m. Wave 3 is off and running.10:22 a.m. MENS WHEELCHAIR WINNER! Marcel Hug was all alone as he crossed the finish line at 1:16:06. He was about six minutes ahead of the rest of the racers.Its the ninth time hes won the Boston Marathon mens wheelchair race, his fourth in a row.10:17 a.m. Kodi Kleven is pacing the professional women 30 minutes in.
