Tickets for the 2027 Ryder Cup will cost more than 400 per day with fans forced to shell out if they want to attend at Adare Manor.Ryder Cup Europe has unveiled ticketing details for next years event in Ireland with prices more than doubling from the 2023 edition in Rome.General entry for one of the three competition days has been set at 499 (433) compared to 220 (191) for Friday and Saturday at Marco Simone Golf Club three years ago. It is a 400 per cent rise on the 2018 event in Paris, with the Ryder Cup set to be held on Irish soil for just the second time.Tickets are cheaper, though, than at Bethpage Black last year although food and drink was included within the $750 (544) price in New York.We acknowledge it's an increase from Rome," Richard Atkinson, the European Tour Group's chief Ryder Cup officer, told the BBC."That was four years ago and a lot has happened in the world since then. We are lower than Bethpage. We've tried to make this as accessible as possible to a wide demographic of people. Our practice day tickets will be from 89 euros and juniors from 20 euros."Our prices are proportionate to a global sporting event. This event has grown in stature and profile, it's one of the biggest sporting events in the world. We're confident in our pricing but we've made it accessible to everyone."The first tickets for the 2027 Ryder Cup are due to go on sale on Friday exclusively to residents of the island of Ireland. Luke Donald will lead Europe again next year as he seeks a third straight success as captain. The United States are yet to confirm their skipper, with Tiger Woods withdrawing himself from consideration as he takes a break from golf to seek treatment and prioritise his health.Ian Woosnam guided Europe to Ryder Cup victory at the K Club in 2006 in the only previous hosting in Ireland.
