Is Denzel Boston related to David Boston?
Stop me if you've heard this before, but a big-bodied wide receiver with the last name Boston is a highly-touted NFL Draft prospect. Denzel Boston is the latest, as the 6-foot-4 Washington product has drawn Mike Evans comparisons while tallying 20 touchdowns over the last two seasons. He's projected to be drafted in the late first or early second, around the likes of Indiana's Omar Cooper Jr. and Texas A&M's KC Concepcion.Twenty-seven years ago, David Boston burst onto the scene with the Arizona Cardinals selecting the receiver eighth overall in the 1999 NFL Draft. David was coming off a productive career at Ohio State but size was his true separator, as he stood 6-foot-2 with the physique of a bodybuilder. While David played only six NFL seasons, his 2001 campaign was one for the ages. Boston caught 98 passes for 1,598 yards and eight touchdowns, earning Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors. So, based on the similarities here, you may be wondering if the Bostons are related. The answer is no, they are not. Denzel will be hoping to reach the same career peaks as David but with a bit more longevity. We'll see which team gives him that chance when the NFL Draft rolls along Thursday night. This article originally appeared on For The Win: Is Denzel Boston related to David Boston?
