Jackson came into the year projected as a top-50 selection before missing games due to an injured rib. The short of it is that the USC transfer is extremely athletic, tying the California 100-meter record as a prep at 10.25 seconds. Hes a click-and-close cornerback, which should be a major premium in Jonathan Gannons defense. The downside is that from an off-coverage standpoint, he can take some bad angles in pursuit, even though hes more than willing as a tackler.At the time of his selection, Jackson was the second-ranked cornerback left on the consensus draft board, only behind Iowas TJ Hall. For what its worth, Bleacher Report graded the 61, 194-pound cornerback with 4.41-second speed as a fourth-round pick.
