Indiana Fever exercise Caitlin Clark's fourth-year option
The Indiana Fever announced that they have exercised the fourth-year option on superstar point guard Caitlin Clark.It officially brings Clark under contract with the Fever for the 2027 WNBA season. The move also enables Clark to renegotiate her fourth-year salary and agree to a three-year contract extension under the EPIC (Exceptional Performance on Initial Contract) provision in the new WNBA collective bargaining agreement.Per Spotrac, Clark will earn $528,846 this season with the Fever. Boston signed a four-year, $6.3 million extension with the Fever.The Fever also signed Kelsey Mitchell to a one-year, $1.4 million supermax deal.Clark is currently eligible to earn up to the max in 2027, which is 17% of the team's salary cap.
