NBA releases 2026 NBA Draft Combine invites, including potential Nets
The Brooklyn Nets are looking forward to the 2026 NBA Draft after finished the 2025-26 season with the third-worst record in the league (20-62), potentially giving them the third overall pick. Brooklyn, like every other team in the Lottery, still has to wait for the event to commence on May 10 to see where they pick, but the NBA has made it known who's going to the Combine. The Nets announced on Friday that 73 players, including some of the best players in the class, had been invited to the Combine that is taking place from May 10-17. While 73 players have been invited to the Combine this year, that doesn't mean that all of those players will be available to draft given that the Early Entry players have until Jun. 13 to withdraw from the draft.More to the point, standout players from the G League Draft Combine that will operate from May 8-10 will also be invited to the NBA Combine, increasing the pool of players being evaluated. Either way, the Nets will be primarily focused on the top players in the class given that Brooklyn will be in a position to draft one of those players by the time that the Draft on Jun. 23 comes around. The three players considered to be the first tier of the class, BYU forward AJ Dybantsa, Kansas guard Darryn Peterson, and Duke forward Cameron Boozer, have all been invited to the Combine. The Combine is the chance for all of the prospects to answer certain questions about their profile, such as last season when future Nets draft pick Egor Demin showed that he improved his three-point shot by a considerable degree compared to his lone college season.Due to the nature of the Lottery, the Nets could end up with the No. 1 overall pick, but they could also fall as far as No. 7, forcing them to forget about drafting Dybantsa, Peterson, or Boozer. However, even if bad luck hits Brooklyn despite superfan Mr. Whammy being in attendance, the Nets could target players with high upside, such as North Carolina forward Caleb Wilson or Arkansas guard Darius Acuff Jr.These are all of the players the NBA has invited to participate in the 2026 NBA Draft Combine that is taking place from May 10-17. Names for Nets fans to watch: AJ Dybantsa, Darryn Peterson, Cameron Boozer, Caleb Wilson, Darius Acuff Jr., Keaton Wagler, and Kingston Flemings. https://t.co/46VN7CKaHk Sharif Phillips-Keaton (@SharifKeaton) May 1, 2026This article originally appeared on Nets Wire: NBA releases 2026 NBA Draft Combine invites, including potential Nets
