Russini lost her job and Vrabel missed Day 3 of the NFL Draft to attend counseling amid the Patriots' latest "cheating" scandal. On the diamond, the Boston Red Sox got off to one of their worst starts in franchise history, plummeting to last place in the AL East. The Red Sox responded by firing World Series-winning manager Alex Cora and much of his coaching staff on April 25, significantly disrupting Boston's clubhouse and continuing the franchise's recent pattern of instability. In the last month, Boston sports fans have seen the- Pats HC have his years-long affair with a reporter exposed- Red Sox fire their manager and sit in last place in the division- Bruins lose in R1 of the playoffs- Celtics blow a 3-1 lead to the 76ers in R1 of the playoffs Jeremy Cohen (@TheCohencidence) May 3, 2026Meanwhile, the Boston Bruins and Boston Celtics both suffered first-round playoff exits at TD Garden, which has been a house of horrors over the last two weeks. The Bruins lost to the Buffalo Sabres in six games as their offense went cold at the worst possible time, scoring just five goals over the final four games combined. Despite having one of the NHL's best home records during the regular season, Boston lost all three of its home games in the series. The Celtics also lost three home games in their series against the Philadelphia 76ers, including Game 7. Despite entering the series as heavy favorites to beat the Sixers and win the Eastern Conference, Boston blew a 3-1 series lead for the first time in franchise history and lost a postseason series to Philadelphia for the first time since1982.It's been one gut punch after another for Boston fans, who won't have much to look forward to over the next few months if the Red Sox don't turn things around soon.More NBA:Celtics vs. 76ers Final Score, Highlights: Bostons Season Comes to Shocking End in Game 7 Loss to 76ers
