Justin Jefferson comments on Vikings upcoming QB battle
No one on the Minnesota Vikings suffered from the team's poor quarterback play in 2025 more than Justin Jefferson. The star receiver only logged three 100-plus yard games and scored only two touchdowns all season. But Jefferson believes the Vikings have the offensive pieces to be productive. The key to their success comes down to whoever wins the quarterback competition between Kyler Murray and J.J. McCarthy, he said last week while appearing on SportsCenter.Just the weapons that we have on the offensive side of the ball. You know, the running back position is very good. The receiver position is very good. The tight end position is very good. You know, just trying to stack up the O-linemen and get all the healthybodies that we can to withhold all of the physical workthat they go through the entire season. And then, of course, the chess piece, which is the quarterback position. So just having that competitive matchup, you know, just going into training camp and just battling it out.And the best man, you know, wins.McCarthy and Jefferson never appeared to find their chemistry in 2025. Only one of Jefferson's 100-yard games came when McCarthy started. At times, it felt like McCarthy was forcing the ball to Jefferson. If that chemistry doesn't build this offseason, it will likely be Murray, not McCarthy, throwing Jefferson passes this fall. This article originally appeared on Vikings Wire: Justin Jefferson shares his thoughts on the team's QB situation
