Dzwik received 61 percent of the vote by the 5 p.m. Wednesday deadline. Thanks to his fans, he is being featured in this Enquirer Athlete of the Week Sunday spotlight.Carter Dzwik was dominant from the mound, throwing a no-hitter in a 6-0 win over Mendon in conference play, striking out 15 over six innings. Also, in a showcase game at Cornerstone University, Dzwik pitched a one-hitter in a 11-0 win over Frankfort Elberta, striking out 13."Carter has been proving his senior leadership on the mound and at the plate this year. On the mound he has thrown two no-hitters and a one-hitter against a state-ranked team. He has 69 strikeouts in 33.1 innings pitched. Carter has a 1.050 ERA with an BAA of .092. Carter performs on both sides of the ball, batting .357 with an OBP of .526," St. Philip/Climax-Scotts baseball coach Brandon Haynes said.
