Colt Keith scratched vs Astros with wrist injury after falling Monday
HOUSTON Colt Keith is injured.The Detroit Tigers scratched Keith on Tuesday, June 16, from the second of three games against the Houston Astros at Daikin Park. The play required an off-balance, on-the-run throw in foul territory.After the throw, Keith tripped on the grass and fell to the ground.That's when he suffered the right wrist injury."I tripped on the grass," Keith said after Monday's game. "I think everyone was watching the ball when I threw it. He has registered minus-two defensive runs saved in 209 innings at third base.The severity of the wrist injury is unknown."I love it when he smiles on the field," manager A.J. Hinch said after Monday's game. "He's so serious, but I know he got to a couple of balls and got rewarded for it.
