Mandatory Credit: Kirby Lee-Imagn ImagesWhy is Bronny James not on the Summer League team?Naturally, Bronnys future comes into question because his father left the Lakers organization. LeBron has not signed anywhere yet, but he has already announced his departure from his home of eight years. Many assume the Lakers will either deal or cut Bronny so he can play for his fathers team. However, the Lakers have been high on Bronny since drafting him, praising his work ethic and overall improvement. While it is possible that he may be in flux with the organization due to his dads status, Bronny could just be looking to develop on his own. Only a handful of players complete more than two tours with the Summer League team. In fact, there is likely little more that he can gain from this kind of experience. Still, chatter about his status will likely only get louder now that he will not be in SF or Vegas.
