Recent rankings highlight depth, strengths of Jaguars' WR room
Jared Dubin of CBS Sports put together his list of the top wide receiver duos entering the 2026 NFL season, and just on the outside looking in were two of the Jacksonville Jaguars' wideouts.Dubin's rankings consisted of the top eight wide receiver pairings along with a number of duos listed as "Honorable(-ish) Mentions." In that category were Brian Thomas Jr. and Jakobi Meyers. These two do form quite the pairing. Going beyond their production, for what Liam Coen wants to accomplish offensively, the two are an ideal match and set each other up for success. The mid-season addition of Meyers allowed Thomas Jr. to handle more downfield responsibilities with Meyers operating in the middle of the field. And with Thomas Jr. stretching the field, that helped create more room for Meyers to operate. That said, the strength of the Jaguars' wide receiver room goes well beyond these two. Parker Washington could have easily been included as well after he put together a breakout season in 2025. Travis Hunter also appeared to be on his way to a larger role as a rookie prior to his injury. The Jaguars boast a deep receiver room, which is exactly what Coen wants. That makes it a lot more difficult for defenses to hone in on any one player, while the matchups and in-game scenarios will dictate where the ball goes, keeping defenders off-balance and guessing. This article originally appeared on Jaguars Wire: Recent rankings highlight depth, strengths of Jaguars' WR room
