LeBron James announced Friday that he is signing with the Philadelphia 76ers. The Celtics rivals are all-in on the upcoming season, after adding one of the best players ever, and trading for former Celtics star Jaylen Brown. Some Boston sports fans are eager to see the Sixers. They dont think all the star power is going to bring the City of Brotherly Love a title. Theres no chance this works out. Its a disaster waiting to happen, a Celtics fan named Josh said. Im happy to watch it implode."James knocked Boston out of the playoffs on four different occasions between his time in Cleveland and Miami. The 41-year-old was rumored to join the 76ers, so his signing wasnt a big surprise. Some Philly fans say the only reason he went there was because the team acquired Jaylen Brown. Ticketmaster shows the cheapest seats right now are about $180. That is steep for a warmup game. The next preseason game at TD Garden against Charlotte begins around $60. Boston fans hope the Celtics get the last laugh in the playoffs, after Philadelphia knocked them out in the first-round last season.
