The Cleveland Browns are preparing for Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders to battle it out for the right of their starting quarterback. And ahead of that battle, the highest-paid wide receiver on their roster has put himself in the limelight.Jerry Jeudy has responded to a live comment asking who he wanted to be the starting quarterback. Jeudy responded by holding up four fingers, signaling a preference for Watson as his quarterback. You can see the clip below:Someone asked Jerry Jeudy on Tik Tok who he wants the Browns starting QB to be pic.twitter.com/dLHykNWv3o ESPN Cleveland (@ESPNCleveland) July 26, 2026Jeudy himself, however, has refuted that he was signaling any sort of preference as the Browns continue to hunt out their starting quarterback. He took to social media himself to call out the claims that he was showing a preference for Watson as he gets set to report to training camp. Here is what Jeudy had to say:"I dont speak on decisions that arent mine to make. I support my teammates/Brothers, I do my job, and control what I can control. Lets stop creating narrative that arent there for likes and clicks. I bet this wont go viral because its too positive/real for yall."Regardless of what Jeudy meant, the court of public opinion has already jumped on top of his video. And coming off of a disappointing 2025 season, he already has ghosts on his back to shake off. We'll see who can win the starting job for the Browns, and we'll see if Jeudy can bounce back in a make-or-break season in Cleveland in 2026.This article originally appeared on Browns Wire: Browns WR already finds himself in hot water as training camp starts
