On Oct. 6, 1979, the Des Moines Register and Harry Baumert (along with others) were present to document the fourth game of head coach Donnie Duncans first season in Ames.The container of original film was located on eBay several decades after the event and recently became the subject of a side quest to digitize the film at Parks Library.
