Clemsonbaseballs 2027 recruiting class continues to gain national attention, and one of the Tigers top commitments has earned another major boost in the latest rankings.Perfect Game recently updated its national rankings for the 2027 class, placing Clemson catcher commit Caden Borcherding at No. 32 overall. The Etowah, Georgia native is also rated as the No. 2 catcher in the country, further solidifying his status as one of the premier prospects in his class.Borcherding announced his commitment to Clemson last September, giving head coach Erik Bakich and his staff an early recruiting win over several high-profile programs. Before making his decision, he held offers from Alabama, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina and North Carolina, making him one of the more sought-after players in the 2027 cycle.The 6-foot-1, 190-pound catcher had planned to take official visits to each of those schools. Alabama hosted him first before he traveled to Clemson for his next visit. That trip to Tigertown proved to be all he needed.
