Alejandro Kirk's bat just narrowly missed a camera on Monday night in Washington.Vaughn Ridley via Getty ImagesAlejandro Kirk completely lost his grip on Monday night and managed to shatter a glass window inside of Nationals Park.The Toronto Blue Jays catcher, in the fifth inning of their 3-2 win over Washington, missed on a swing and sent his bat flying behind him after letting it go accidentally. The Nationals cut it to a one-run game in the bottom of the inning after a Andres Chaparro homer, but that was as close as they got.Kirk did not get a hit in his three at-bats in the win. Hes holding a .224 batting average with three home runs and 12 RBI.The win pushed Toronto up to 49-58 on the season. Veteran pitcher Max Scherzer made his return from the injured list and gave up a run and four hits in his 75 pitches on the mound, too. Scherzer, who won a World Series ring with the Nationals, received a pair of standing ovations from fans in Washington.
