Hoopaholics Hearsay from the Bahamas
Letss call him INTREPID. My guy in the gym in the Bahamas. That was the code name for the head of British Intelligence in the Caribbean during WWII.All observations are obviously his, phoned in to your intrepid chronicler within minutes of the final buzzer of U of Ls 101-52 thrashing of Bahamas. The Bahamian team was pretty good.I was really impressed with Isaac Ellis. He was a pest on defense. Clogged up the passing lanes. Lots of deflections. For the record, Ellis had 5 steals in 22 minutes of action.Flory Bidunga is ridiculously good.6 blocks. 10 rebounds. 18 points. 7/9 from the field.. 4/4 at the line.We played three guards a lot.DeShayne Montgomery led the Cards in scoring. 20 points. 5/8 FG. 3/4 threes. 7/8 at the stripe.U of L was 25/35 at the line. 71.4%Mystery man London Johnson tallied 13. Alvaro Folgueiras and Adrian Wooley, 12 each. After a poor shooting opening half, U of L ended up 31/70 from the field. 17/33 after intermission. 14/34 from the beach, 9/17 after the break.Dynes and Bidunga played some at the same time, but not a lot.Kelsey was really animated. Near the end of the first half, he was telling them to remember two foot jump stop, stop and pivot.Karter Knox was really enthusiastic on the bench.INTREPID advises there were fifty or so Cardinal fans there. Including Jeff Brohm. c d kaplan
