In the 10-team league, they were third on offense, scoring 23.6 points per game, but they were sixth in poinst allowed, giving up 18.0 per game. 1946 individual leadersQuarterback Paul Christman led the Cardinals in passing. He passed for 1,656 yards, 13 touchdowns and 18 interceptions. He led the NFL, averaging 16.6 yards per completion. Pat Harder was the Cardinals' leading rusher, rushing for 545 yards and six touchdowns. Billy Dewell and Mal Kutner both led with 27 receptions. Kutner had 634 yards, but Dewell beat that with 643 and averaged 23.8 yards per catch, which led the NFL, and he had a league-leading seven touchdown receptions.
