The Seattle Seahawks are getting one of their 2026 NFL draft picks back on the field for practice. On Thursday morning, the Seahawks announced that seventh round rookie defensive tackle Deven Eastern had officially passed his physical and will begin practicing immediately. Eastern had begun training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list while he was dealing with an unspecified injury. Head coach Mike Macdonald did not give any details on what Eastern's injury was. Now Eastern begins the challenge of making it on the Seahawks' final roster. He is in a crowded defensive tackle room, and being one of the final 53 men when the regular season rolls around will not be an easy task. However, the four year Minnesota man seems up to the task. In his four seasons with the Golden Gophers, Eastern recorded 97 total tackles, 12 of which were for a loss, and logged 4.5 sacks. He was even credited with five defended passes.
