He had an injury, a previous injury over the summer that was not disclosed. And so, came off the practice field, didn't feel good. Got it checked, sure enough, that's what it was. So, he will be out for a period of time. I don't know how long that's going to be. Call it 12 weeks, 14 weeks. I don't know We'll figure it all out down the road, but he is NFI," Campbell said.Manu, a 2024 fourth-round NFL draft pick, logged 69 offensive snaps last season, perPro Football Focus. The 6-foot-7, 345-pounder started for theLionsat left tackle in Week 5 of last season at theCincinnati Bengals. Manu has appeared in four NFL games thus far.Detroit's other pair on the NFI lists are expected to return quickly.""Izzy just had a little flu bug. We're going to make sure he's good to go, hopefully by Friday we get him in practice here. Mahogany needs a couple of days and then he'll be ready," Campbell said of Izien and Mahogany. For moreLionscoverage, follow us on X,@TheLionsWire, and give ourFacebookpage a like.Follow Josh on X,@JoshOnLionsThis article originally appeared on Lions Wire: Lions update OT Giovanni Manu's injury status, return timeline
