Uli Hoene apologizes to Max Eberl, weighs in on Luis Diaz and Michael Olise transfer talk, and praises Harry KaneBayern Munich honorary president Uli Hoene has conducted his first major interview ahead of the forthcoming 2026/27 Bundesliga campaign. Speaking to reporters after Bayerns 15-0 preseason friendly victory over amateur side FC Rottach-Egern at the clubs Tegernsee training camp on Thursday evening, Hoene apologized to Board Member for Sport Max Eberl and spoke on other topics.Hoene apologized to Eberl for publicly questioning the executives future shortly before the 2026 DFB-Pokal final. In true Hoene fashion, however, the 74-year-old blamed the source that he spoke to for lying to him about the publication date.Hoene had previously placed the probability of Eberl receiving a new contract at 60:40 during a Spiegel interview conducted shortly before Bayern completed the domestic double against VfB Stuttgart.
