He followed that up with another elite season, posting a 2.76 ERA in 2025 and cementing himself as one of the more promising arms. This year, after undergoing elbow surgery that kept him out for the first half of the season, Greene has struggled with a 7.06 ERA, but he is still working his way back. The Reds are shopping him not because of these struggles, but rather because his contract extension is set to increase, and they could get a massive haul for Greene now.
