In 44 games this year, Doval posted a 4.54 ERA with six home runs allowed in 39.2 innings. Over his 66 total games as a Yankee, Doval posted a below league average 91 ERA-plus. Doval was torched by left-handed hitters, who posted a .999 OPS against him this season, and he was clearly not in the Yankees plans going forward in 2026.A 2023 All-Star with the Giants, when he led the NL with 39 saves, Doval is eligible for free agency after the 2027 season.
