New Orleans Saints wide receiver JaLynn Polk is stepping away from football. He was traded to the Saints last season, but didnt take a snap with them all last year due to a shoulder injury.New Orleans had traded away a 2027 sixth-round pick in the trade with the Patriots, receiving Polk and a 2028 seventh-round pick in return, before Polk spent the season on IR.Its unclear why Polk decided to walk away ahead of his third year in the league. Polk probably would not have been a starter, with receivers like Chris Olave and rookie Jordyn Tyson sitting at the top of the depth chart, but its possible he could have made his way into the rotation.This story will be updated.
