Agent conflict puts Yan Diomandes signing for Real Madrid on hold
Agent conflict puts Yan Diomandes signing for Real Madrid on holdAfter having gone the last two seasons without any major trophy, Real Madrid have gone into the market this summer with a vengeance. The Merengues have already signed five new players this summer, and are expected to complete their biggest transfer operations in the coming few days.Their biggest purchase of this window is expected to be the RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande. Los Blancos are reported to have already reached an agreement with both the player and his club, RB Leipzig, but despite this agreement having been reached several days ago, the transfer has officially not yet been completed.According to Diario AS, this holdup is mainly because of a dispute between agents associated with the player, i.e., Maxidel and Roc Nation. The latter is currently handling the players affairs, and it was this agency which negotiated his agreement with Real Madrid. However, Maxidel, whose main agent is Max Gradel, has filed a complaint with FIFA alleging a breach of contract.Maxidel was the company responsible for the wingers signing with RB Leipzig, and the German club continues to handle Diomandes affairs through this entity. However, the forward signed with Roc Nation a few months ago as he aimed to take the next big step in his career. For now, the matter is pending before FIFA, and it can significantly impact the players transfer to Real Madrid. The global football governing body can delay or even deny the registration of a transfer in its system if there is a dispute ongoing between agents of a player. An immediate solution could be the provision of a provisional license till the matter is resolved.Real Madrid were unaware of this matter when they negotiated Yan Diomandes signing with Roc Nation, and now, both the Merengue club and the Ivorian forward are waiting for a solution so the transfer can be officially completed.
